CHANUKA - BETWEEN SEATTLE AND JERUSALEM!
The ancient Greeks, in their quest to Hellenize the world, found very
little resistance as they conquered nation after nation, bringing their
"enlightment" to one and all. It was only by the Jewish nation, who sat in
Zion at the time, that they met resistance. The Greeks decided to break the
backbone of the Jews by decreeing three decrees against the Jewish people.
In this way, the Greeks figured that within the next generation the Jewish
people as they knew them would be no more.
With tremendous insight, the Greeks' three decrees were to forbid the
observance of Shabbat, to forbid the calculation of the new months, and to
forbid circumcision. What was it that the ancient Greeks saw by these three
mitzvot, that they reasoned that by banning them, this would end the Jewish
religion?
The common denominator that runs though these mitzvot are, of course,
the “chosenness” of the Jewish people. Havdala - separation - this is the
foundation upon which all rests. For without this concept, the Jewish people
would be just like all the other nations of the world. Without the
chosenness of the Jewish people - in which Hashem chose us to be a light
unto the nations - there would be no need for our existence and mission in
this world. We would be just like the other nations, and then, certainly
there would be no need at all for Creation. Still, Hashem, at the revelation
of Sinai, chose us from all the nations for His G-dly mission in this world.
The Greeks understood this well: Wipe out the chosenness of the Jewish
people, make them like all the other nations - and you destroy them and the
world with it. Unfortunately, many a Jew at the time fell victim to the
Greeks' plan and openly accepted the new and dark Greek culture.
A quick look at the three decrees will readily show the chosenness of
the Jewish people running throughout them. Shabbat, of course, is a sign
between G-d and the Jewish people, so unique to the Jews that if a non- Jew
keeps Shabbat, he is put to death. The same holds true for circumcision, a
sign between the Jewish people and G-d, as Hashem tells Abraham to
circumcize himself and his house for a sign between the Jewish people and
G-d for all generations. Calculating the month ensures that the Jewish
calendar with all of its holidays will be celebrated at their proper times,
once again showing the uniqueness of the Jewish nation.
For this, the Jews revolted in a bloody war that lasted three years, at
the cost of many thousands dead. But the end result was that the Jews who
stayed faithful continued the chosenness of the Jewish people and their holy
mission.
This past week we saw the unfolding drama of the Seattle airport’s right
to publicly place x-mas trees there, and under the theat of a lawsuit by a
Chabad Rabbi to place a large Menorah there, too, the trees were first
removed and later replaced. America, in spite of the many minorities who
live there with freedom for all, is still known as overwhelmingly an x-tian
nation. They had no problem offending rights of minorities - in this case
Jews - and there will be no Menorah in the airport, for unlike the Moslems,
the Jews do not want to make waves.
And over here in the Holy Land, on my way home from work the other day,
I was appalled to see in the showcase of the Jerusalem City Hall next to a
Menorah, a display of the birth of baby Yeshky in Bethlehem, so as not to
insult the x-tian community, which barely exists here in Israel. Not that I
have a problem with giving other cultures their due, but in City Hall of the
Holy City of Jerusalem, which is supposed to represent the return of the
Jewish people after a 2000-year exile and Jewish sovereignty, it is a shame.
Here, in the Land of Israel, the descendants of the mighty Maccabees who
fought and gave their lives to keep alive the chosenness and separation from
the nations, are trying to walk the fence on both sides. Jerusalem’s City
Hall, representing the Jewish people, is not the place for it! Where is our
pride, and why are we embarrassed to tell the world that we are the Chosen
People. This is what Chanuka should be all about: Now is the time to move
forward, with the flag of the Maccabees telling a world of sick culture that
we reject it - and in its stead, we will bring Light to the world!

The Sabbath was given to ALL mankind at Creation. They forgot it and God restored it through all Twelve Tribes of Israel, now specifically through the Jews since the Israelites became "lost" and Gentilized. When King Messiah Yeshua returns and reigns, He will command ALL nations to keep the biblical Sabbath and biblical festivals, the "Jewish Holidays."
As for Jews in America, in their self-imposed exile, always praying "NEXT year in Jerusalem," let them move to Israel where they belong.
As for the pagan "mass of Christ," I am a Christian and, like the early Church of God for over 300 years, have absolutely nothing to do with pagan holidays dressed in Christian drag. We're not fooled by the Roman wolves in sheep's clothing.

Mt. Zion under siege: Who will be King of the Mountain?
In light of the forces of darkness collaborating against Jerusalem, as Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met with the German pope today in the bloody Vatican, I'm posting this article again, as it is most timely:
Mt. Zion Under Siege: Who Will Be King of the Mountain?
The Vatican has its evil eye on Jerusalem! What better place to start their siege against the Holy City than Mt. Zion? Watch for them to fortify their position and launch an all-out attack to undermine Israeli sovereignty, enlisting Jewish traitors and the international community.
It is only a matter of time before the Vatican exercises their evil influences to enforce UN Resolution 181. Will Israel make the most of this grace period, return to God and secure the Jewish homeland or fall prostrate before the Roman EU?
The Vatican's illegitimate claims to Mt. Zion stem from the extorted belief that Jesus' "Last Supper" was held in the Upper Room of the traditional site of King David's Tomb. I am a Christian and trust Jesus held such a meal in Jerusalem, but there is no way to prove it was at such a site and since the bloody Roman Catholic Church states it to be so, I highly doubt it.
Regardless, the alleged "Upper Room" would not be a holy site in light of the New Testament and is never mentioned again after the fact, but the Temple Mount stands alone as "the most holy place." Isn't that what the Vatican is really after? Haven't they coveted the crown of Jerusalem, and its crown jewel - the Temple Mount - since the Crusades? The leopard has not changed its spots!
Some might contend that there isn't sufficient proof that King David (my forefather) is actually buried on Mt. Zion. However, it is a Jewish belief, it is the Jewish homeland, and it isn't necessary for Jews to prove anything to the world, as it is honestly none of their business.
If Israel were wise, they would immediately cut off all negotiations, unequivocally state Jerusalem is not for sale, and threaten any Jew who persists in such an error and grievous sin with expulsion from the Jewish community. It's that serious! Israeli sovereignty is at stake!
Rabbi Avraham Goldstein is leader of the Diaspora Yeshiva (Yeshiva Toras Yisrael) that has been blessed since 1966 to utilize David's Tomb and the building complex on Mt. Zion for religious classes and services. Goldstein is also Chief Rabbi of the Old City of Jerusalem, and in agreement with all 14 rabbis in the Old City, is convinced that the Vatican's true intent is to ultimately evict the yeshiva and completely empty the complex of Jews.
"Jerusalem is in danger," the rabbi warned his American audience, as reported by The Jewish Voice and Opinion, exposing the disturbing fact that the European Union has joined dark forces with the Palestinian Authority to put undue pressure upon Israel to disengage from half the Holy City and cede the Eastern half to the Muslim Arabs.
How can Israel live with half a heart? Why permit occult designs to forge Jerusalem's future? Why sanction secular politicians to handle such holy issues? Why trust an unholy trinity composed of "Jewish Catholic Knights" (Gary Krupp and David Rosen) and the poisonous Vatican plant (David Bartholdy), Jannes and Jambres and Korah, to have any say in what belongs in the court of the Sanhedrin?
If Israel prostitutes itself and cedes this strategic part of Jerusalem to the Vatican, they will have sold out Jews and Christians, since Christians would have to obtain permission from the Catholic Church to hold services at the site. Why exalt the Roman Catholic Church to such a lofty position? Why fall for the attempt to trump King David at the site or supercede him by towering over his tomb, a Catholic Church over and above his dead body!
As Barry Chamish has duly noted, the German-built Dormition Abbey on Mt. Zion (next to the yeshiva) is an exact replica of the German Church that crowned emperors: Charlemagne's Aachen Cathedral. Can't we see what spirit is at work here and what plans are in store? UN Resolution 181 demands Jerusalem become a separate, international city that will amount to a long-held Catholic dream of Jerusalem serving as the capital of their Crusader-Kingdom.
The German-Jesuit powers that be are busy reconstructing Europe into the final revival of the unholy Roman Empire of the German Nation that Daniel foresaw wreaking havoc on the Middle East and Jeremiah foresaw affecting the whole world (all of Jacob, the unprecedented Time of Jacob's Trouble).
What offer could convince the religious authorities to abandon claims to Mt. Zion? Would a trade-off work? Not of empty synagogues in Spain, but how about international guarantees of protection during the construction of the Third Temple on the Temple Mount? What if Israel were offered acceptance of full Israeli sovereignty over the Temple Mount, complete with the restoration of the sacrificial system and Temple worship?
Wouldn't the religious prefer such freedom of religion over secular Israeli sovereignty that continues to despise the Jewish heritage and dismantle the Jewish homeland? Not that Israel couldn't immediately restore the Temple Mount to Jewish hands without worldly approval or international "peacekeeping" support, and that would be preferable but it's unlikely.
Will the Israeli authorities fall for Europe's BIG LIE of "peace and security" (and religious freedom and independence upon the Temple Mount) and enable them to station troops around Jerusalem in a clever and deceitful perversion of Bamidbar Rabbah 1,3:
If the nations of the world had only known how much they needed the Temple, they would have surrounded it with armed fortresses to protect it.
Doesn't Zechariah warn of such Roman wolves in sheep's clothing? Must Jerusalem suffer a brutal betrayal and rape, with the violent eviction of Jews from half of the Holy City, all of it under brazen Gentile occupation? Doesn't Daniel warn of Europe's imminent wannabe divine emperor (promoted by the pagan pope) who would leave his designated place at Mt. Zion and seize and pollute the Temple with his unclean presence, slaughtering all who got in his way?
"Why will you die O House of Israel?" If only Israel and Judah would return and trust in God, none of this reliance on foreign promises (that will prove to be worthless, once again) would be necessary. At least during Jerusalem's 3 1/2 years of foreign occupation, captive Israel will be reassured by a Davidic messenger in the spirit of Elijah, like an angel of the LORD (Zech. 12:8), that our God will come and save us and cleanse the Temple and liberate Jerusalem.

Olmert haggles with pope over price of Jerusalem
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, shamefully calling upon the German pope in the Vatican, reminds me of the classic W.C. Fields routine in which he propositions a young woman and asks, "Would you sleep with me for $1 million?" She thinks about it and nods, "Sure, for $1 million, I'd do it." Fields then asks her, "Would you sleep with me for $20?" Indignant, the young lady slaps him and asks, "What kind of woman do you think I am?" Fields doesn't miss a beat: "We have already established that; now we're just haggling over price."
Vatican representatives have been driven to dispossess the Jews from Jerusalem by any means possible, including assassination, with every intention of supplanting them, as their accursed replacement theology requires. Temple Mount Faithful Hanukkah March
Hanukkah March of the Temple Mount Faithful Movement to the Temple Mount . It will start in Modi'in through the Biblical Jerusalem on the 28th of Kislev (Dec. 19th 2006)
In a very critical time in the history of Israel and all the world the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement will march on Hanukkah, Kislev 28 (Dec. 19 2006) to the hill of G-d, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
This march will start in the ancient city of the Maccabees, Modi'in. Two thousand one hundred and fifty years ago Israel was controlled by the Greek Empire which desecrated the Temple and placed their idol in the midst of the Holy of Holies. The high priest Mattityahu started a revolt together with his five sons and volunteers from the Jewish people. They defeated the Greek Empire battle after battle. Their first goal was to liberate Jerusalem, to purify the Temple from the pagan idol and to again make Jerusalem the eternal capitol of Israel. They were a small minority against the strongest empire in the world in those days. The call of Mattityahu the high priest to the people of Israel was: "Those who are with G-d will come with me". Battle after battle more and more Israelis joined with him. But the main reason for their victories and complete removal of the Greek Empire from the land of Israel was that G-d again became the General and the Commander of the Maccabees' forces as He does today with Israel He did with the Maccabees and gave them their victories.
The Maccabees, as they were called, also made a spiritual revolution inside the Jewish community in the land of Israel that was under a strong impact of the Hellenistic pagan culture and were in great danger of loosing their godly Jewish identity. The Maccabees saved the godly identity of Israel by this revolution and again gave together with the G-d of Israel eternal godly life to the Jewish faith, Spirit and culture. They gave a lesson to all the coming generations of Israel that a small minority, even one person like the high priest Mattityahu can change the negative march of history as long as they trust the G-d of Israel, walking with Him all the way and lean themselves on His Word: The eternal Torah that He gave to Israel.
The Temple Mount Faithful Movement which considers herself as the Maccabees and as the Joshuas and the Calebs of our time swore to adopt this lesson of the Maccabees. We swore faithfulness to G-d and to His Word and we trust Him absolutely. Like the Maccabees we are struggling for the liberation and purification of the Temple Mount, the hill of G-d in Jerusalem, and to immediately remove the Arab Islamic pagan presence from the most holy place of Israel and the location of the First, Second and the Third Temple that is soon to come. We swore to answer the end-time call of G-d to Israel and to immediately rebuild His Temple so it will be a house of worship, prayer and love for Israel and all the world (Isaiah 2: 1-5, Micah 4: 1-4). We also swore to remove the foreign Arab Islamic presence and their desecration from all over the land of Israel within the same boundaries that G-d promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their seed Israel. We decided to be faithful to the Word of G-d Who gave this land of Israel to His people Israel in an eternal covenant. Who can and may change this Word of G-d or any other Word of G-d? He said again and again before all the nations: "I am the Creator and owner of all the world and only I can give a land to whomever I want and I decided to give this holy land to my chosen people Israel so that we may both dwell there together". The Temple Mount Faithful Movement swore as well before the G-d of Israel to make Israel again at these exciting and critical end-times a biblical godly nation with a biblical godly mission based on the Word of G-d and the Torah that He gave to His people. For this goal G-d regathered His people Israel to the land which He promised to them to be fulfilled in our lifetime. Israel cannot and should not run away from this goal and the Temple Mount Faithful Movement is doing everything possible to educate Israel about this.
On this Hanukkah, Tuesday 28th Kislev (Dec. 19th 2006) the Temple Mount Faithful Movement will carry the Testament of the Maccabees from Modi'in, where the Maccabees lived and from where they started their revolution, to the hill of G-d the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. We will show the right way to the people of Israel at a very godly end-time. At 9 a.m. we shall travel by bus to Modi'in which is located 20 miles from Jerusalem. In Modi'in we shall swear faithfulness to the godly heritage of the Maccabees. We will light the Hanukkah menorah and say for the ears of the whole world, "You will never take the land of Israel given by G-d only to His people Israel and give it to foreigners and enemies of the G-d and the people of Israel". We shall swear before G-d to make the same Spiritual revolution that the Maccabees made in their time. It will be an exciting moment to stand on the same ground where the Maccabees stood, the ground of the ancient Modi'in that was just recently discovered by archeological diggings. Then we will light the torch of the Maccabees and run with these for part of the way of the Maccabees and on the tracks of their victories against the Greeks, on the mountains of Beit Horon. In a very critical time in the history of Israel and all the world the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement will march on Hanukkah, Kislev 28 (Dec. 19 2006) to the hill of G-d, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
This march will start in the ancient city of the Maccabees, Modi'in. Two thousand one hundred and fifty years ago Israel was controlled by the Greek Empire which desecrated the Temple and placed their idol in the midst of the Holy of Holies. The high priest Mattityahu started a revolt together with his five sons and volunteers from the Jewish people. They defeated the Greek Empire battle after battle. Their first goal was to liberate Jerusalem, to purify the Temple from the pagan idol and to again make Jerusalem the eternal capitol of Israel. They were a small minority against the strongest empire in the world in those days. The call of Mattityahu the high priest to the people of Israel was: "Those who are with G-d will come with me". Battle after battle more and more Israelis joined with him. But the main reason for their victories and complete removal of the Greek Empire from the land of Israel was that G-d again became the General and the Commander of the Maccabees' forces as He does today with Israel He did with the Maccabees and gave them their victories.
The Maccabees, as they were called, also made a spiritual revolution inside the Jewish community in the land of Israel that was under a strong impact of the Hellenistic pagan culture and were in great danger of loosing their godly Jewish identity. The Maccabees saved the godly identity of Israel by this revolution and again gave together with the G-d of Israel eternal godly life to the Jewish faith, Spirit and culture. They gave a lesson to all the coming generations of Israel that a small minority, even one person like the high priest Mattityahu can change the negative march of history as long as they trust the G-d of Israel, walking with Him all the way and lean themselves on His Word: The eternal Torah that He gave to Israel.
The Temple Mount Faithful Movement which considers herself as the Maccabees and as the Joshuas and the Calebs of our time swore to adopt this lesson of the Maccabees. We swore faithfulness to G-d and to His Word and we trust Him absolutely. Like the Maccabees we are struggling for the liberation and purification of the Temple Mount, the hill of G-d in Jerusalem, and to immediately remove the Arab Islamic pagan presence from the most holy place of Israel and the location of the First, Second and the Third Temple that is soon to come. We swore to answer the end-time call of G-d to Israel and to immediately rebuild His Temple so it will be a house of worship, prayer and love for Israel and all the world (Isaiah 2: 1-5, Micah 4: 1-4). We also swore to remove the foreign Arab Islamic presence and their desecration from all over the land of Israel within the same boundaries that G-d promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their seed Israel. We decided to be faithful to the Word of G-d Who gave this land of Israel to His people Israel in an eternal covenant. Who can and may change this Word of G-d or any other Word of G-d? He said again and again before all the nations: "I am the Creator and owner of all the world and only I can give a land to whomever I want and I decided to give this holy land to my chosen people Israel so that we may both dwell there together". The Temple Mount Faithful Movement swore as well before the G-d of Israel to make Israel again at these exciting and critical end-times a biblical godly nation with a biblical godly mission based on the Word of G-d and the Torah that He gave to His people. For this goal G-d regathered His people Israel to the land which He promised to them to be fulfilled in our lifetime. Israel cannot and should not run away from this goal and the Temple Mount Faithful Movement is doing everything possible to educate Israel about this.
On this Hanukkah, Tuesday 28th Kislev (Dec. 19th 2006) the Temple Mount Faithful Movement will carry the Testament of the Maccabees from Modi'in, where the Maccabees lived and from where they started their revolution, to the hill of G-d the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. We will show the right way to the people of Israel at a very godly end-time. At 9 a.m. we shall travel by bus to Modi'in which is located 20 miles from Jerusalem. In Modi'in we shall swear faithfulness to the godly heritage of the Maccabees. We will light the Hanukkah menorah and say for the ears of the whole world, "You will never take the land of Israel given by G-d only to His people Israel and give it to foreigners and enemies of the G-d and the people of Israel". We shall swear before G-d to make the same Spiritual revolution that the Maccabees made in their time. It will be an exciting moment to stand on the same ground where the Maccabees stood, the ground of the ancient Modi'in that was just recently discovered by archeological diggings. Then we will light the torch of the Maccabees and run with these for part of the way of the Maccabees and on the tracks of their victories against the Greeks, on the mountains of Beit Horon. Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt!
Carl Sandburg, an American writer warned: "If America forgets where she came from...if she listens to the deniers and mockers, then will begin the rot and dissolution." The same principle applies to our Jewish brethren in Israel.
The most merciful God of Jacob-Israel resurrected the nation of Israel from the graveyard of history and offered us a new opportunity to fulfill our unique calling to become a model nation, a kingdom of priests, a light to all nations, based upon the Law and the Prophets. Yet secular Jews, Hellenist Jews, UNJews, have divorced themselves from the Bible and have sought to make Israel just like all the other nations. And the corrupt Chief Rabbinate and blind religious leaders have woefully neglected (and forfeited by default) Judaism's most holy site: the Temple Mount.
Despite the faithlessness of many of Israel's leaders, the Great God of the Universe liberated areas of Judea and Samaria and restored Judaism's holiest site (supposedly) - the Temple Mount - into Jewish hands. Did Israel immediately invite the God of history to return with our exiles (now making aliyah) by building the Third Temple? Did they honor the God of our fathers by creating an Embassy for the Eternal upon the Temple Mount?
No! Instead Israelis despised their most sacred inheritance, the crown jewel of Jerusalem, and permitted militant Muslims to continue their abominable occupation. The foreign foxes terrorize faithful Jews and Christian Zionists who attempt to worship upon the Temple Mount and illegally refuse to let them pray or read the Bible. Israel has failed to uphold religious rights for non-Muslims (that are trampled daily) and has failed to guarantee "freedom of access." The biblical solution is to build the House of Prayer for All Peoples spoken of by the Prophets.
Queen Victoria said: "I think it very unwise to give up what we hold," referring to territories of the British-Israelite empire. Judah has been "very unwise" to surrender holy land to the enemies of God and Israel in the name of a lying peace. The accursed and treacherous Oslo accords, like a murderous cancer, continue to eat away at the very foundations of the Jewish state and the Jews have only themselves to blame.
Does someone have to be a prophet to recognize prophetic trends and to be grieved about them? Or to perceive that divine judgment is surely coming upon our beloved nations? Can't we just be like righteous King Josiah who HEARD AND BELIEVED the inspired words of the PROPHETS? (2 Chron. 34:15-33). He took God's "ancient" warning seriously and then did everything he could to avert national disaster! God respected him for it.
Yet the American, British and Jewish peoples today despise those who dare come forth, teaching and preaching the Word of God, encouraging repentance to spare our people from the unprecedented "Time of Jacob's Trouble," "the Great Tribulation" (Jer. 30:7, Matt. 24:21). At least, when they're temporarily crushed under the heels of a German-led Europe, when the Jewish Quarter is made Judenrein and the Temple Mount seized and occupied by Vatican forces that are intent on ripping the heart out of Israel for their pagan purposes (Dan. 11:45, Zech. 14:2), they will remember that they had been warned by a loving God, and hopefully will then have a change of heart and attitude that will hasten the process of redemption and welcome home the Messiah whom Two Witnesses will announce to the cities of Judah and proclaim to the world (Zech. 12:10).

PM Olmert will meet in the Vatican this week with Pope Benedict - two weeks after Israeli diplomats confirmed the reopening of talks over the status of church property on Mt. Zion and elsewhere.
"In a move that surprised observers," CatholicNews.com reports, "Israel has agreed to re-launch negotiations with the Holy See over church status in the Holy Land that have been stalled since the Olmert government came to power."
A year ago, Arutz-7 reported that a Foreign Ministry official admitted that a blueprint of an agreement with the Vatican giving it control of parts of Mt. Zion in Jerusalem - also known as King David's burial site - had been received. The proposed contract read as follows:
"The State of Israel hands over to the Holy See the use of the Cenacle [the room of the event known as the Last Supper, above King David's tomb - ed.], of the access path to it, and of the spaces adjacent to it... It is the Holy See's intention to inform the Bishops - and through them the world's Priests - that the Catholic Church has been given the use of the Cenacle, inviting them to visit the Holy Place together with their faithful... The Holy See hands over this use of the Cenacle to the Custody of the Holy Land [which acts on behalf of the Holy See]... [which] will keep the Cenacle open from 6 AM to 8 AM for the celebration of the Holy Mass... Official liturgical celebrations of non-Catholic Churches can take place only upon prior written permission by the Custody of the Holy Land."
At the time, President Moshe Katzav was about to embark on a visit to the Vatican. In the face of increasing public pressure, he was forced to deny any plans to sign away the King David's complex in Jerusalem. It now appears, however, that this option has once again surfaced.
AsiaNews reported late last month that Israel and the Holy See "have agreed to hold negotiating sessions of their 'Bilateral Permanent Working Commission' in December and in January - after the Olmert Government had, in effect, declined to do so ever since taking office last spring... The news is being received with relief, and with cautious optimism, in Church circles."
The paper reported that "there were apprehensions that the protracted negotiations (begun on 11 March 1999) required by the 1993 Fundamental Agreement between the Holy See and the State of Israel, might be suspended indefinitely - with incalculable consequences, both for the Catholic institutions in Israel and for the bilateral relationship."
Church's Steady and Discreet Efforts Pay Off
"It is not known precisely what caused [Israel's] sudden change of attitude," AsiaNews reported, "though it is understood that the Vatican had never given up on its steady (though characteristically discreet) diplomatic efforts. Furthermore, it has often been reported in the media that both the American Catholic Church and influential components of the U.S. Government - at the Department of State, in the Congress, and in the White House itself - have been encouraging Israel constantly to make sure it is faithful to its international commitments vis-a-vis the Holy See and the Catholic Church."
At present, since shortly after the Six-Day War in 1967, the Diaspora Yeshiva is located on Mt. Zion, and has long warned of the catastrophic implications for Israel if the deal goes through. "This is an enormous issue that is being pushed through without any public debate whatsoever," Yeshiva Director Rabbi Shabtai Herman told Arutz-7 last year.
Rabbi Herman explained that if the Catholic Church receives control of the area, just a few hundred yards from the Temple Mount and adjacent to the Old City walls, it will turn it into "the international center for Catholics all around the world - and if the pope just gives the word, Christians will be flocking over here en masse."
Rabbi Mordechai Goldstein, who founded and still runs the Diaspora Yeshiva, officially known as Yeshiva Toras Yisrael, elaborated in a follow-up discussion with Arutz-7:
"According to their bible, the land is to return to the Christians, and 144,000 Jews are to return to Mt. Zion. So their plan is for them to take control of the site, and then to announce that they are holding a mass reenactment of the Last Supper, with [all types of religious rituals], and to invite millions of Christians to come to Jerusalem and celebrate." He said that this means much tourism money for Israel, and that someone in the Israeli government is apparently very interested in making this happen.
The King David's Tomb complex is a complex of buildings of some 100,000 square feet where David and Solomon, and kings of Judea, are said to be buried. "It is certainly one of the holiest spots in the Land of Israel," Rabbi Herman said. "We've already given away the Temple Mount and the Machpelah Cave, except for here and there when we're allowed in; now they want to give Mt. Zion away as well? For thousands of years, this area was almost always totally closed off to Jews. G-d gave it back to us in 1948, but parts of it were still in range and sight of Jordanian snipers and were not in full use. After 1967, Rabbi Goldstein founded the Diaspora Yeshiva here - and it became an island of holiness, the first yeshiva for baalei teshuvah [newly religious] in Israel; we were there day and night learning Torah. Rabbi Goldstein was almost prophetic in establishing this yeshiva at that time at that spot; destiny from above intertwined him with Mt. Zion."
Rabbi Herman said that the above plan is merely the first step of a larger plan to turn all of Mt. Zion into a Christian site. He explained that the lower level of the complex, containing many chambers, rooms, passageways and the like, has long been under the control of Israeli bodies such as the Lands Authority, and that half of the area was assigned to the Diaspora Yeshiva.
MK Benny Elon (National Union), who served twice as Minister of Tourism, told Arutz-7's Hebrew newsmagazine, "This issue was raised several years ago. When I was Tourism Minister, I made it clear to a representative of the Pope that we would allow them to use one room with a side entrance that would not bother the yeshiva. But under no circumstances would we allow the transfer of ownership. But they said they want ownership, and that the Pope sees this place as the second-holiest, after the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We have to be very strong and not give in to the Vatican on this."

"We've already given away the Temple Mount and the Machpelah Cave, except for here and there when we're allowed in; now they want to give Mt. Zion away as well? For thousands of years, this area was almost always totally closed off to Jews. G-d gave it back to us in 1948, but parts of it were still in range and sight of Jordanian snipers and were not in full use. After 1967, Rabbi Goldstein founded the Diaspora Yeshiva here - and it became an island of holiness, the first yeshiva for baalei teshuvah [newly religious] in Israel; we were there day and night learning Torah. Rabbi Goldstein was almost prophetic in establishing this yeshiva at that time at that spot; destiny from above intertwined him with Mt. Zion."
Rabbi Herman said that the above plan is merely the first step of a larger plan to turn all of Mt. Zion into a Christian site. He explained that the lower level of the complex, containing many chambers, rooms, passageways and the like, has long been under the control of Israeli bodies such as the Lands Authority, and that half of the area was assigned to the Diaspora Yeshiva.
MK Benny Elon (National Union), who served twice as Minister of Tourism, told Arutz-7's Hebrew newsmagazine, "This issue was raised several years ago. When I was Tourism Minister, I made it clear to a representative of the Pope that we would allow them to use one room with a side entrance that would not bother the yeshiva. But under no circumstances would we allow the transfer of ownership. But they said they want ownership, and that the Pope sees this place as the second-holiest, after the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We have to be very strong and not give in to the Vatican on this."

A 19-year-old Israeli-American has been charged with attempted murder for what he said was throwing a clump of sand during a melee with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Shimshon Cytryn faces a maximum of 20 years in jail if convicted in
connection with a rock battle on the beach of the Gaza Strip weeks before the Israeli military evicted more than 10,000 Jews from the area in August, 2005. Cytryn, who said he threw sand toward a Palestinian, was the only Israeli in the melee charged with attempted murder.
"All they [the authorities] want is to see him [Cytryn] sit in jail", Marilyn Cytryn, Shimshon's grandmother, said after a hearing in the Beersheba District Court on November 21.
Cytryn has been charged with trying to kill 18-year-old Hilal Ziad Mujaida during a rock battle between Jewish and Arab residents of the Katif Bloc in the southern Gaza Strip on June 29, 2005. A video presented by the prosecution showed Cytryn hurling something toward the Palestinians, many of whom threw bricks and rocks toward the Jews. Several Jews were injured in the clash.
Mujaida, who was also seen throwing rocks, was struck in the melee, and the video taken by television news crews showed him bleeding from the forehead. The video then showed Cytryn leaping toward a stone barrier and throwing something toward Mujaida.

Stephen Flurry: Like father, like son - LAODICEANS
Stephen Flurry, son of Gerald Flurry, pastor general of the Philadelphia Church of God (based in Edmond, Oklahoma), has published a book that Amazon sells, Raising the Ruins: The Fight to Revive the Legacy of Herbert W. Armstrong. It's promoted as "the shocking, gripping untold story of the doctrinal hijacking and spiritual destruction of the Worldwide Church of God after the death of its founder." Yet it basically REPEATS what Malachi's Message taught: "Malachi's Message is the gripping story of God's true Church gone off track in this end time...".
The "untold story"? How dare Stephen Flurry deny his father's work - the "centerpiece" of PCG literature - with his approval. But when a Laodicean leader is blind and one follows the other, they're both bound to fall into the ditch. What can we expect from those who fail to do what Herbert W. Armstrong clearly saw must yet be done and yet none of the groups professing to follow Herbert W. Armstrong have even expressed any interest in doing it? God's apostle said we must REACH THE CITIES OF JUDAH!
Since it appears Gerald Flurry and the Philadelphia Church of God are hard of hearing, the articles offered below, the indictments served, repeat the plain truth of this matter that God led me to share with them earlier, which I continue to stand by and testify is true.
May God grant Gerald Flurry and his son Stephen Flurry, as well as the PCG ministry and laymembers, heartfelt repentance for failing to warn the world in any major way about what is fast coming upon the world. Dear Princess Diana,
This letter was prompted by an issue of People magazine.
Actually that particular article was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Some years ago I had an impressive dream. During the dream you, Prince Charles and myself were engaged in an intense talk. We were sitting around though quite relaxed, comfortable amongst each other (at east as if we'd known each other for years as good friends), in an enclosed patio or spring porch - a garden atmosphere. I recall you did most of the talking -- pouring out your heart to me -- as Prince Charles sort of quietly listened. Perhaps it's because we're closer in age. I'm 27. As I began to awaken from the dream I became upset with how foolish to imagine the Royalty of Wales taking me into their confidence. I kneeled for morning prayer and asked God to rebuke such presumptuous thoughts, but asked if there were any significance to the dream that a chart I had ("The Heritage of the Anglo-Saxon Race") loaned out months earlier be returned at Sabbath services that day.
Lo and behold, the chart was returned that day! Rather convenient, since when I arrived home I had received a memo in the mail from our local newspaper. I had submitted a question to them whether the present British Royal Family were aware of their unique Davidic ancestry -- the remarkable continuation of King David's dynasty. I felt my question could be answered while also cleverly bringing this royal fact to greater public attention if published. An unexpected turn of events occurred though! The newspaper related: "If you send us a copy of the information on King David and his relationship to the English Royal Family, plus a verification that such information has been validated and by whom, we will see to it that it gets to Buckingham Palace and that your name will accompany it." Immediately I wondered what to send to satisfy the newspaper. The chart seemed obvious, but I still sought counsel from my minister. He advised writing a Church official at our Headquarter's in Pasadena, California who is English and involved with our Media Coordinator. The Church official replied: "I believe the most prudent course of action would be to send the chart 'The Heritage of the Anglo-Saxon Race' to the newspaper for their further action."
I sent the information to the newspaper and they sent it to Buckingham Palace. They also cautioned me not to hold my breath for any response, which was good since I haven't heard a word yet.
Several years later, during my volunteer service at Kibbutz Ramat Yohanan in Northern Israel, a Holocaust survivor (whom I adopted as my "kibbutz mother") mentioned hearing about some royal marital problems. I dismissed it as gossip from some tabloid trash -- but then immediately I recalled the dream where you were pouring out your heart to me about something. So I thought perhaps there's something to all these godless rumors, but all marriages have their ups and downs.
Since then I've heard too many royal rumors & sovereign stories about differences in your marriage. The latest People article prompted me to write you and sincerely offer my continued support for you and your lovely family. My heart goes out to you all with deep affection.

My letter to Robert Fahey of the Worldwide Church of God at headquarters in Pasadena, California was sent November 8, 1981.
The Worldwide Church of God Media Coordinator, David Hulme, responded in an official letter dated December 7, 1981 with advice about sending the chart "The Heritage of the Anglo-Saxon Race" and comment -- "Thank you for writing, in what is a very interesting and unusual circumstance."
As advised, I sent the chart "The Heritage of the Anglo-Saxon Race" to Zip Line December 12, 1981. (The chart had been given to me by an English couple in Jerusalem the year before during our Feast of Tabernacles celebration).

FROM KING DAVID THE PSALMIST.
A. B. Grimaldi: THE possible descent of Queen Victoria from King David was first entered upon in the present day by Rev. F. R A. Glover, M.A. ("England the Remnant of Judah." London, 1861). He did not, however, attempt to give the genealogy link by link, nor enter into the proofs in detail. Since then the whole subject of Her Majesty's Jewish ancestry has been further examined by various students and writers on our Israelitish origin. Mr. J. C. Stephens has compiled a "Genealogical Chart, shewing the Connection between the House of David and the Royal Family of Britain." (Liverpool, 1877.) This gives the descent from Abraham to Zedekiah in full, as found in Matthew. It then gives twelve generations only between Heremon, B.C. 580, and Victoria, A.D. 1819, thus, of course, omitting a great number of links. The descent of our Royal Family from the royal line of Judah is, however, no new discovery. The Saxon kings traced themselves back to Odin, who was traced back to his descent from David, as may be seen in a very ancient MS. in the Herald's College, London; and in Sharon Turner. ("History of the Anglo-Saxons," vol. i.) The full and complete genealogy of Victoria from David does not appear to have been ever printed; and it has, therefore, been thought that it would be useful, as well as interesting, to put it on record, both for reference and testimony. In its compilation reliable works of reference have been used - such as Anderson ("Royal Genealogies." London, 1732). Keating ("History of Ireland." Dublin, 1723), Lavoisne ("Genealogical and Historical Atlas." London, 1814), as well as those mentioned above, and others. Perfect accuracy is hardly to be expected in such an attempt; but it is believed that the genealogy is as correct as our present knowledge of this obscure and intricate subject will permit.
In the following genealogy those who reigned have K prefixed to their names. The dates after private names refer to their birth and death; those after Sovereign's names, to their accession and death. Wherever known, the wives have been mentioned. Besides those mentioned in Genesis, some have been obtained from Polano ("The Talmud." London, 1877). b. and d. stand for born and died.

WE issue this Leaflet to serve the grand and valuable object of supplying a necessary link in proving the Identity of the British Nation with the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel. This we have abundantly proved in the Pamphlet, entitled "Forty-Seven Identifications of the British with Lost Israel," price 6d., to be had of Messrs. S. W. Partridge & Co., and Mr. W. H.. Guest, both of Paternoster Row. But we could not be identical with Israel unless Queen Victoria was in a line with David, it being written - "Ought ye not to know that the Lord God of Israel gave the Kingdom OVER ISRAEL to David FOR EVER; to him, and to his sons, by a covenant of salt?" (2 Chron. 13:5; 21:7). We have always been able to trace David's seed to Queen Tephi, of Ireland, who was the daughter of Zedekiah : but the difficulty has been to supply a chart of the line from Queen Tephi to King Fergus, of Scotland. This we now supply, through the valuable research of the Rev. A. B. GRIMALDI, M.A., and is in itself a matter vital to the very best interests of the British Empire.

Holy Jerusalem and the Temple of God
Speaking of some of the saints who were temporarily restored to physical life to testify about Yeshua's resurrection, after jealous Jewish leaders delivered Him to the bloody Romans to murder, we find, by inspiration of the Holy Spirit:
Matthew 27:53
...and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into THE HOLY CITY and appeared to many.
Paul, speaking of the imminent Third Temple, the holy TEMPLE OF GOD (the Temple of God - not just of the Jews or any other conspiracy theory that contradicts Scripture), that Europe's wannabe divine emperor will pollute, coveting it since Satan knows (even if some religious folks don't) it is the TEMPLE OF GOD:
2 Thessalonians 2:4
...who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the TEMPLE OF GOD, showing himself that he is God.
Speaking of the imminent Third Temple and EU occupation of Jerusalem (whose days are numbered when they trespass upon the Temple Mount), and simultaneous ministry of the Two Witnesses, the apostle John was inspired by the Holy Spirit to foretell:

And they will tread THE HOLY CITY underfoot for forty-two months. 3 And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.
Speaking of the imminent clash between Catholic Europe and Islam with Jerusalem's holy Temple Mount caught in the middle:
Daniel 11:40-45
At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. 41 He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon. 42 He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. 44 But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. 45 And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him.
Jerusalem is holy in the biblical sense it has been called to fulfill its awesome calling to become the City of our God, the City of the Great King. It has been sanctified, set apart for a holy purpose that it will soon fulfill. It is holy, even though it is a sinful city, just like Israel and Judah are holy, set apart, sanctified, and need to learn to live holy lives.
The New Jerusalem doesn't come down from Heaven until after the initial thousand year reign of Christ who will subdue all opposition and destroy all enemies, including death and Satan when the Earth is purified by fire. Then the Father comes with New Jerusalem - the Sabbath-keepingChurch of God is a type of it.
Meanwhile, we pray for Judah and intercede for Jerusalem:
Isaiah 62:1-2
1 For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace,
And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest,
Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness,
And her salvation as a lamp that burns.
2 The Gentiles shall see your righteousness,
And all kings your glory.
You shall be called by a new name,
Which the mouth of the LORD will name.
Isaiah 62:6-7
6 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;
They shall never hold their peace day or night.
You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent,
7 And give Him no rest till He establishes
And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
These watchmen are the Two Witnesses of Revelation 11 -- Two Witnesses who will testify in Jerusalem against Europe. They will announce to the cities of Judah and comfort captive Israel (all Twelve Tribes) that our God will come and save us.
Isaiah 35:4
4 Say to those who are fearful-hearted,
"Be strong, do not fear!
Behold, your God will come with vengeance,
With the recompense of God;
He will come and save you."
Isaiah 25:9
9 And it will be said in that day:
"Behold, this is our God;
We have waited for Him, and He will save us.
This is the LORD;
We have waited for Him;
We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation."

Israel in the Isles

We must keep in mind the fact that the Lord cast Israel afar off to the isles of the sea, and then, through the prophet Isaiah, commanded silence for a certain period, or until the people should have renewed their strength. This same prophet, in the first verse of the forty-ninth chapter, again addresses the people who dwell in the isles as follows:
"LISTEN, O isles, unto me: and hearken, ye people from afar" (Isa. 49:1);
and then makes the declaration:
"Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified." (v. 3)
Israel, as we know, was cast out of her land for idolatry, and Baal-ism was one of her chief idolatries. Before she was cast out she seems to have acquired the habit of attaching the name of the god Baal to places and cities, for on the ancient maps of Palestine we find Baal-meon, Baal-gad, Baal-ath, Baal-shalisha, Baal-Tamar, Baal-peor, Baal-hazor, Baal-zephon, Mt. Baalah, and others.
But surely these people carried that same proclivity with them to the islands, for in Ireland this name of the god Baal is found just as frequently, if not more frequently, a circumstance which shows that this idol was honored and worshipped by her eastern colonists. The Rev. T. R. Howlett furnishes us with the following list of Baal-it-ish names found in Ireland: Baal-y-Bai, Baal-y-gowan, Baal-y-Nahinsh, Baal-y-Castell, Baal-y-Moni, Baal-y-ner, Baal-y-Garai, Baal-y-nah, Baal-y-Con-El, Baal-y-Hy, Baal-y-Hull-Ish, Baal-NahBrach, Baal-Athi, Baal-Dagon.
Regarding the evidence given by these names, Howlett says:
"These certainly are memorials of the Baal worship once prevailing in Ireland. In them we have not only the name of Baal, but its conjunction also with other Hebrew names. How can this be accounted for, except as they were so called by emigrants from Phoenicia and Palestine?"
"One thing that particularly marks the Hebrew origin of these names is their attachment to places but not to persons. The Canaanites and Phoenicians, attached the names of their gods, Baal, Bal, Bel to persons, as Eth-Baal, Itho-bal, Asdru-bal and Han-i-bal. These were family names among the heathen nations surrounding Israel. In like manner, we find among the chosen people the names of their God associated with and forming a part of family and personal names; as "El" and "Jah," in Isra-el, Ishma-el,, Lemu-el, Samu-el, Ezeki-el, El-isha, El-ijah. Baal never found favor among the Hebrews as a personal name, though used freely for localities. They gave it to their towns, but not to their children. Its use in Ireland is proof of the Israelitish origin of the earliest settlers -- philological evidence of racial unity."
But this custom of thus using the name of Baal has long since passed away from the descendents of those who settled in "INNIS PHAIL" -- an Island Wonderful -- and her sister isles. These islands need no longer keep silent, for their people have renewed their strength and thus the isles are yielding up their secrets. Hence, we should not be surprised that the name of Baal is no longer in the mouth of their people. By the mouth of the prophet Hosea, whom the Lord used to declare that he would hedge up the way of Ephraim Israel, so that she could not find her paths, he also says:
"I will take away the names of Baal-im (plural of Baal) out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name," (Hosea 2:17).
But just prior to this saying the Lord has given a prophecy, of which this is but a part, the sequence of that which precedes it, and which reads as follows:
"Behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness [the hitherto uninhabited country], and speak comfortably to her heart [Margin]. And I will give her vineyards from thence [there], and the valley of Achor [sorrow] for a door of hope; and she shall sing as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came out of the land of Egypt. And it shall be at that day, saith the Lord, that thou shalt call me Ishi [my husband]; and shalt call me no more Baali. For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth." (Hosea 2:14-17)
All idolatrous names were taken from the mouth of Israel, not so much because they had reached that God-appointed place where they were to be moved no more, and where the children of wickedness were not to waste them as at the first, but because they had passed out from their former sorrow through the door of hope, which was caused by the fact that their Lord had spoken comforting words to their hearts, and because she could look up in love to him and say, "Ishi -- my husband." The reason for this heart-experienced hope will become clearer as we proceed with the prophetic history of this people, whose centralization of racial life and power is in those islands which are northwest of Palestine.
But in this same forty-ninth chapter of Isaiah, after letting us know that Israel is located in the isles, the prophet foretells some events in the future history of that island nation. Among these predicted events we find the following:
"Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One: In the time of favour [grace] have I heard thee, and in the day of salvation [the Christian era] have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and I will appoint thee, as a people of the covenant, to establish the earth, to cause [thee] to inherit the desolate heritages." (Isa. 49:8)
In this quotation we have, for the sake of clearness, followed in part both the King James and the Isaac Leeser translations. The italicized phrase is from Leeser, and is remarkable for its clearness, especially in its use of the article "a" before people, because Ephraim-Israel, although not all the people, is distinctly a people, of the covenant; and as a people of the covenant she is appointed to establish, people, or cause to be inhabited, the desolate, uninhabited places of the earth. These desolate localities are given to Israel as an inheritance, and she has needed them in fulfilling the destiny of the Birthright Kingdom of Israel -- that of becoming many nations, or a company of nations.
But we must now notice the word covenant, since it is used in the phrase as a people of the covenant. The Hebrew word for covenant is Beriyth, which in Judges 8:33 and 9:4 is used as a proper name, and, for that reason, it is simply transferred into the English text without being translated. It is given there as the name of one of the idols of Israel, namely: Baal-beriyth, and means Baal of (the) covenant. Also the Hebrew words Ben-iysh Yemiyniy are translated "Son of a man of Jemini. Thus Ben means "a son," lysh, "a man," and Yemiyniy, Jemini. The Anglicized form of these words are Ben, ish and jamin, and, taken together, they mean "A man of Benjamin, or a Benjamite."
We have brought you through this group of words to show that ish in Hebrew means a man. Now take the Hebrew word which is translated covenant, which in its original form has no vowel, but which in its Anglicized form retains the vowel i to preserve the y sound, and we have Brith, which joined with ish is Brith-ish, and means "A covenant man." Today the BRITISH people, or men of the covenant, are called Britons, and are dwelling in the British Isles!!!
We are told that the people of Waels call themselves, in ancient Welsh, "Bryth y Brithan," or " Briths of Briton," which means "The Covenanters" of "the land of the Covenant." The first form of this phrase is almost vernacular Hebrew.
It is also unmistakably recorded in British history that the earliest settlers in Wales and southern England were called Simonii. They came by the way of the sea in the year 720 B. C. At this time there was the greatest influx of the Tuatha de Daanan to Ireland, and this synchronizes with the deportation of the Israelites of the commonwealth of Ephraim to Assyria, and the flight of Dan and Simeon from the seaports and coast country of Palestine. That Simonii is the plural of Simeon we need scarcely mention.
But all evidences of the fulfillment of this prophecy are not philological, for Isaiah, still addressing the Israelites who dwell in the islands, predicts the following:
"For thy waste and desolate places, and the land of thy destruction [the destruction of their identity], shall even now be too narrow [pressed, straightened] by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up [the Assyrians] shall be far away."
"The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears: The place is too straight [small, crowded, cramped] for me; give a place to me that I may dwell," (Isa. 49:19-20).
Here are a people called Israel who are living in the isles of the sea. They have lost one company of people, and yet their children say that the place is still too small, cramped and crowded, because there are too many inhabitants for such a small country. Consequently they ask the Mother Country to give them a place also. Or, according to Leeser's translation, they say, "Make room for me to dwell," and the Mother Country must do it, because it is she to whom the Lord has given the desolate heritages of the earth.
Mark this! It is also said of the mother country, or Mother Israel, that she "lost" her first children before other of her children asked for territory in which to dwell.
England is the only country on the face of the earth where these conditions obtain. Her first child was called New England, but she LOST it, and now it -- together with that which, for various reasons, has been annexed -- is called The United States of America.
But, after losing her American colonies, her work of colonizing non-populated portions of the world kept right on; until today through the power of these colonies she holds possession of Prince Edward's Island, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, British Columbia, Vancouver's Island, New Foundland and Canada. All of these are unitedly called the Dominion of Canada, and to these are added the six States of Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, British India, the Fiji Islands and parts of Africa, Egypt and China. So that now the sun never sets on the realm of the United Kingdom.
But we should expect this, and even more, for according to Jer. 31:9-10, the Israel which is located in the Isles is none other than Ephraim, the Abrahamic Birthright People, of whom the Lord says:
"I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my first born."
Ephraim, as we have shown, was the second son of Joseph. But when the birthright blessing was given to Joseph in his sons, Ephraim, the younger, was set before Manasseh, the elder. They were to remain together, however, until they grew into a multitude in the midst of the earth. After that they were to separate; then Manasseh was to become a "great" people, or nation, and Ephraim was to become "a multitude, or company of nations."
The people in the British Isles did certainly grow together until they became a multitude of people in the earth, and then they separated. The separated people has become a great nation, and those who were left in the isles have become a multitude of nations. The government of the separated people is democratic, the people in the isles still live, as they ever must, under a monarchy, but the two peoples are, as Joseph's two sons were, brothers; and they even call each other "Brother John" and "Brother Jonathan." There are no other nations on earth who thus brother each other.
The facts recorded above are also in fulfillment of another prophecy given by dying Jacob concerning Joseph, which reads as follows:
"Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well [water], whose branches run over the wall," (Gen. 49:22).
An objector has said: "But I believe the words 'a multitude of nations' means a multitude of different nationalities." If this be the true meaning of these words, then surely England, with her sixteen nations in British India, her Indians and Esquimaux of British America, her Fiji Islanders and New Zealanders, and her subjects of still other nationalities, which are absolutely too numerous to mention -- surely England is a multiplicity of nationalities. Still we do not believe this to be the meaning of the words under discussion, but we do believe that this fact of England's thus ruling so many nationalities, and of America's holding dominion over the Sandwich Isles, Cuba, Haiti, Puerto Rico and the Philippines is the fulfillment of a promise that Israel shall inherit the lands and labor of the heathen, which is given as follows:
"He brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness: and gave them the lands of the heathen; and they inherited the labour of the people; that they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the Lord," (Psa. 105:43-45).
The Bible follows Anglo-Saxon conquests, and some of the people in all these nations both receive and keep the law of God.
We must remember that Ephraim and Manasseh, as the representatives of the house of Joseph, both together received the birthright blessing under the hands of the dying patriarch, and that since they thus jointly hold the birthright blessing, even though Ephraim was set before Manasseh, we may expect that they shall hold many of its blessings in common. Take, for instance, the blessing pronounced upon the land of Joseph, as given by Moses on the day of his death, which is only an enlarged edition of that which was given by Jacob on the day of his death, and which is as follows:
"And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the Lord be his land, for the precious things of heaven [rain], for the dew, and for the deep[ocean] that croucheth beneath [his vessels], and for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and the precious things put forth from moon to moon, and through the chief [best] things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the everlasting hills, and the precious things of the earth and the fullness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let this blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren."
"His glory is like the firstling [firstborn] of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of an unicorn [the unicorn is in the national seal of England] with them he [Joseph] shall push the people together to the ends of the earth; and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh," (Deut. 33:13-17).
This promise of wealth on land and sea, of abundant harvests, of rare gems and precious stones, of the richest and the greatest mining interests in the world, is fulfilled in England and America. It is also true that these nations, not only push the aborigines of their possessions into the ends, or corners, of their countries, but they also push the people of other nations with whom they war into corners. Concerning America and her aborigines, we need only say, "Lo, the poor Indian," and ask, Where is he? And then ask the same question concerning the aborigines of the countries which fall into the hands of England. Just here the alien testimony of the Russian Vernadsky is pertinent. He says,
"Britain is a spider whose web encompasses the whole world within her own dominions. She has all the resources of all the continents. Her empire is stronger and vaster than any coalition of other states. She is a standing menace to all other powers, and her increasing strength is destructive to the balance of power. Nevertheless, unsatisfied and insatiable, she is grasping for more territory. Yesterday she seized Fiji; the day before she took the Diamond fields; today she annexed Transvaal, and tomorrow she will clutch Egypt. It is only too clear that the power of Britain is too great to be compatible with the general safety, and that the aggressive empire, unless speedily checked, will establish a universal dominion over all the people of the earth."
Our reply to this expressed fear concerning Britain is "universal dominion," is that England alone will not gain this, but that England and America will yet form an alliance and that then they shall push the people to the ends of the earth, for it is foretold that they, Ephraim and Manasseh, "together" shall do this, and also that,
"Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the whole WORLD with fruit," (Isa. 27:6).
The fulfillment of these promised blessings, which were pronounced upon the land of Joseph, by the people in the isles and their "separated" brother, is the cause of the fulfillment of another prophecy given by Isaiah concerning this same people, which is as follows:
"Be still, ye inhabitants of the isle; thou whom the merchants of Zidon [Palestinean seaport], that pass over the sea have replenished. And by great waters [same place as in Ezekiel's riddle] the seed of Sihor, the harvest of the river is her revenue; and she is the mart of nations," (Isa. 23:2-3)
The Sihor is a river in Egypt. Israel dwelt in Egypt for four hundred and thirty years, hence they were formerly from Egypt, latterly from Palestine, now in the isles of the Great Waters!!! Moreover, the birthright holders were born Egyptians. Thus the Lord says, "When Israel was a child, then I loved him and called my son out of Egypt" (Hosea 11:1). It is for these reasons that, in the Bible, the Ephraim Israelites are in two places called Egyptians.
This fact of calling Israel out of Egypt is doubly true in the case of Israel; first in the fact that when Israel was a child (a young nation), the Lord called her out of Egypt; second in the fact that the Lord's son, Ephraim his first born was called out of Egypt. This was also true again, after the flight of Joseph and Mary into Egypt with the babe under the protection of an angel, for it is again written, "Out of Egypt have I called my son." (Matt. 2:15)
But there is another prophecy in Isaiah which has been most wonderfully fulfilled in the history of Ephraim and his brother Manasseh, i.e., England and America, the long lost house of Joseph. It is the following:
"The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel. And all the people shall know, even Ephraim, and the inhabitants of Samaria," (Isa. 9:8-9).
Here we have the names of Samaria-Ephraim-Israel, the birthright kingdom, used prophetically. In connection with these names is the fact that the Lord sent a word to Jacob, and that it lighted not upon Judah, but upon Israel, and that all the people of Ephraim "shall know" this.
Hear this!
"Ye chosen seed of Israel's race –
Ye ransomed from the fall!"
Again we say, hear this!
"In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the WORD was made flesh, and dwelt among us full of grace and truth. He came to his own [Judah] and his own [the Jews] received him not." (John 1:1-4,11,14)
So he said to his disciples, "Go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel" (Matt. 10:6). Christ, the Divine WORD was "SENT" "into Jacob," bringing life, light, grace, and truth, but Judah rejected the word sent from God, so it lighted upon Israel. Thus, the Apostle Paul, who was brought up at the feet of Gamaliel, and who was raised a Pharisee of the strictest sort, understood himself perfectly, when he said,
"Israel [as a whole] hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election [Ephraim-Israel] hath obtained it, and the rest [Jewish-Israel] were blinded" (Rom. 11:7).
Who,
"as concerning the gospel are enemies; but as touching the election [racial] are beloved for the fathers' sakes." (v. 28).
Hence,
"blindness in part [or blindness to a part] is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in." (v. 25)
But of that part of the elect race which is appointed to be the recipients of the word which God sent. Paul says, "There is a remnant according to the election of grace," (Rom. 11:5) and it is the people who belong to the election of grace, that follow the colonies of that elect race, and plant the standard of the gospel of the grace of the Son of God among the nations of the earth. Thus the Messianic promise, which the Lord made to Abraham, that in his seed all the nations of the earth should be blessed, has received a double fulfillment, in that those who carry the message of the One Seed, are also the seed of Abraham. This is true either nationally or spiritually, for all who have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ, are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise. And it is also true that the Anglo-Saxons are pre-eminently the evangelists of the world.

We must keep in mind the fact that the Lord cast Israel afar off to the isles of the sea, and then, through the prophet Isaiah, commanded silence for a certain period, or until the people should have renewed their strength. This same prophet, in the first verse of the forty-ninth chapter, again addresses the people who dwell in the isles as follows:
"LISTEN, O isles, unto me: and hearken, ye people from afar" (Isa. 49:1);
and then makes the declaration:
"Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified." (v. 3)
Israel, as we know, was cast out of her land for idolatry, and Baal-ism was one of her chief idolatries. Before she was cast out she seems to have acquired the habit of attaching the name of the god Baal to places and cities, for on the ancient maps of Palestine we find Baal-meon, Baal-gad, Baal-ath, Baal-shalisha, Baal-Tamar, Baal-peor, Baal-hazor, Baal-zephon, Mt. Baalah, and others.
But surely these people carried that same proclivity with them to the islands, for in Ireland this name of the god Baal is found just as frequently, if not more frequently, a circumstance which shows that this idol was honored and worshipped by her eastern colonists. The Rev. T. R. Howlett furnishes us with the following list of Baal-it-ish names found in Ireland: Baal-y-Bai, Baal-y-gowan, Baal-y-Nahinsh, Baal-y-Castell, Baal-y-Moni, Baal-y-ner, Baal-y-Garai, Baal-y-nah, Baal-y-Con-El, Baal-y-Hy, Baal-y-Hull-Ish, Baal-NahBrach, Baal-Athi, Baal-Dagon.
Regarding the evidence given by these names, Howlett says:
"These certainly are memorials of the Baal worship once prevailing in Ireland. In them we have not only the name of Baal, but its conjunction also with other Hebrew names. How can this be accounted for, except as they were so called by emigrants from Phoenicia and Palestine?"
"One thing that particularly marks the Hebrew origin of these names is their attachment to places but not to persons. The Canaanites and Phoenicians, attached the names of their gods, Baal, Bal, Bel to persons, as Eth-Baal, Itho-bal, Asdru-bal and Han-i-bal. These were family names among the heathen nations surrounding Israel. In like manner, we find among the chosen people the names of their God associated with and forming a part of family and personal names; as "El" and "Jah," in Isra-el, Ishma-el,, Lemu-el, Samu-el, Ezeki-el, El-isha, El-ijah. Baal never found favor among the Hebrews as a personal name, though used freely for localities. They gave it to their towns, but not to their children. Its use in Ireland is proof of the Israelitish origin of the earliest settlers -- philological evidence of racial unity."
But this custom of thus using the name of Baal has long since passed away from the descendents of those who settled in "INNIS PHAIL" -- an Island Wonderful -- and her sister isles. These islands need no longer keep silent, for their people have renewed their strength and thus the isles are yielding up their secrets. Hence, we should not be surprised that the name of Baal is no longer in the mouth of their people. By the mouth of the prophet Hosea, whom the Lord used to declare that he would hedge up the way of Ephraim Israel, so that she could not find her paths, he also says:
"I will take away the names of Baal-im (plural of Baal) out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name," (Hosea 2:17).
But just prior to this saying the Lord has given a prophecy, of which this is but a part, the sequence of that which precedes it, and which reads as follows:
"Behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness [the hitherto uninhabited country], and speak comfortably to her heart [Margin]. And I will give her vineyards from thence [there], and the valley of Achor [sorrow] for a door of hope; and she shall sing as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came out of the land of Egypt. And it shall be at that day, saith the Lord, that thou shalt call me Ishi [my husband]; and shalt call me no more Baali. For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth." (Hosea 2:14-17)
All idolatrous names were taken from the mouth of Israel, not so much because they had reached that God-appointed place where they were to be moved no more, and where the children of wickedness were not to waste them as at the first, but because they had passed out from their former sorrow through the door of hope, which was caused by the fact that their Lord had spoken comforting words to their hearts, and because she could look up in love to him and say, "Ishi -- my husband." The reason for this heart-experienced hope will become clearer as we proceed with the prophetic history of this people, whose centralization of racial life and power is in those islands which are northwest of Palestine.
But in this same forty-ninth chapter of Isaiah, after letting us know that Israel is located in the isles, the prophet foretells some events in the future history of that island nation. Among these predicted events we find the following:
"Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One: In the time of favour [grace] have I heard thee, and in the day of salvation [the Christian era] have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and I will appoint thee, as a people of the covenant, to establish the earth, to cause [thee] to inherit the desolate heritages." (Isa. 49:8)
In this quotation we have, for the sake of clearness, followed in part both the King James and the Isaac Leeser translations. The italicized phrase is from Leeser, and is remarkable for its clearness, especially in its use of the article "a" before people, because Ephraim-Israel, although not all the people, is distinctly a people, of the covenant; and as a people of the covenant she is appointed to establish, people, or cause to be inhabited, the desolate, uninhabited places of the earth. These desolate localities are given to Israel as an inheritance, and she has needed them in fulfilling the destiny of the Birthright Kingdom of Israel -- that of becoming many nations, or a company of nations.
But we must now notice the word covenant, since it is used in the phrase as a people of the covenant. The Hebrew word for covenant is Beriyth, which in Judges 8:33 and 9:4 is used as a proper name, and, for that reason, it is simply transferred into the English text without being translated. It is given there as the name of one of the idols of Israel, namely: Baal-beriyth, and means Baal of (the) covenant. Also the Hebrew words Ben-iysh Yemiyniy are translated "Son of a man of Jemini. Thus Ben means "a son," lysh, "a man," and Yemiyniy, Jemini. The Anglicized form of these words are Ben, ish and jamin, and, taken together, they mean "A man of Benjamin, or a Benjamite."
We have brought you through this group of words to show that ish in Hebrew means a man. Now take the Hebrew word which is translated covenant, which in its original form has no vowel, but which in its Anglicized form retains the vowel i to preserve the y sound, and we have Brith, which joined with ish is Brith-ish, and means "A covenant man." Today the BRITISH people, or men of the covenant, are called Britons, and are dwelling in the British Isles!!!
We are told that the people of Waels call themselves, in ancient Welsh, "Bryth y Brithan," or " Briths of Briton," which means "The Covenanters" of "the land of the Covenant." The first form of this phrase is almost vernacular Hebrew.
It is also unmistakably recorded in British history that the earliest settlers in Wales and southern England were called Simonii. They came by the way of the sea in the year 720 B. C. Moreover, the birthright holders were born Egyptians. Thus the Lord says, "When Israel was a child, then I loved him and called my son out of Egypt" (Hosea 11:1). It is for these reasons that, in the Bible, the Ephraim Israelites are in two places called Egyptians.
This fact of calling Israel out of Egypt is doubly true in the case of Israel; first in the fact that when Israel was a child (a young nation), the Lord called her out of Egypt; second in the fact that the Lord's son, Ephraim his first born was called out of Egypt. This was also true again, after the flight of Joseph and Mary into Egypt with the babe under the protection of an angel, for it is again written, "Out of Egypt have I called my son." (Matt. 2:15)
But there is another prophecy in Isaiah which has been most wonderfully fulfilled in the history of Ephraim and his brother Manasseh, i.e., England and America, the long lost house of Joseph. It is the following:
"The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel. And all the people shall know, even Ephraim, and the inhabitants of Samaria," (Isa. 9:8-9).
Here we have the names of Samaria-Ephraim-Israel, the birthright kingdom, used prophetically. In connection with these names is the fact that the Lord sent a word to Jacob, and that it lighted not upon Judah, but upon Israel, and that all the people of Ephraim "shall know" this.
Hear this!
"Ye chosen seed of Israel's race –
Ye ransomed from the fall!"
Again we say, hear this!
"In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the WORD was made flesh, and dwelt among us full of grace and truth. He came to his own [Judah] and his own [the Jews] received him not." (John 1:1-4,11,14)
So he said to his disciples, "Go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel" (Matt. 10:6). Christ, the Divine WORD was "SENT" "into Jacob," bringing life, light, grace, and truth, but Judah rejected the word sent from God, so it lighted upon Israel. Thus, the Apostle Paul, who was brought up at the feet of Gamaliel, and who was raised a Pharisee of the strictest sort, understood himself perfectly, when he said,
"Israel [as a whole] hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election [Ephraim-Israel] hath obtained it, and the rest [Jewish-Israel] were blinded" (Rom. 11:7).
Who,
"as concerning the gospel are enemies; but as touching the election [racial] are beloved for the fathers' sakes." (v. 28).
Hence,
"blindness in part [or blindness to a part] is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in." (v. 25)
But of that part of the elect race which is appointed to be the recipients of the word which God sent. Paul says, "There is a remnant according to the election of grace," (Rom. 11:5) and it is the people who belong to the election of grace, that follow the colonies of that elect race, and plant the standard of the gospel of the grace of the Son of God among the nations of the earth. Thus the Messianic promise, which the Lord made to Abraham, that in his seed all the nations of the earth should be blessed, has received a double fulfillment, in that those who carry the message of the One Seed, are also the seed of Abraham. This is true either nationally or spiritually, for all who have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ, are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise. And it is also true that the Anglo-Saxons are pre-eminently the evangelists of the world.
