Christians keep Passover - not Easter!

Could God's holy days, which portray His plan of salvation, exclude Jesus' sacrifice? How could Jesus' ultimate sacrifice be less than holy? Didn't God have the Israelites smear lamb's blood on their doors to avert death? Didn't that clearly represent Christ's offering for mankind? Yes!

The Passover lamb was to be kept from Nisan 10 until the 14th (Ex. 12:1-6). It was then to be killed on the 14th. It was to be killed in the evening. How do we know for sure which evening is being discussed? Because God the Father set us a PERFECT EXAMPLE!

When did God decree that Jesus could declare "it is finished" and die on the stake? Why at the very same time that THE JEWS were sacrificing their Passover lambs at the Temple! The Jews had always killed the Passover lambs during the final hours of the 14th. It was towards the end of the 14th, not at the beginning of the 14th, that the Passover lambs were killed.

After the lambs were killed they were prepared (which took some time) to be eaten, naturally, that evening - which began the 15th and the FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD. Nothing of the Passover lamb was to be left over until the morning (Ex. 12:8-10).

God decreed that only unleavened bread should be eaten with the Passover lamb, and that only unleavened bread should be found throughout our property for seven days: "neither shall there anything of the flesh, that you sacrificed the FIRST DAY AT EVEN, remain all night until the morning...you shall sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun..."(Deut. 16:1-7; Matt. 27:45-46).

Here God clearly shows that He considered the Passover sacrifice, done at "the going down of the sun." as the FIRST DAY of the SEVEN DAYS OF UNLEAVENED BREAD (Mark 14:12). If we're to blindly follow popular Church tradition that kills the Passover lamb at the beginning of the 14th, rather than at the end of the 14th, then we end up with eight days of unleavened bread! Does it make sense that the lamb must be eaten with unleavened bread and then somehow afterwards for a whole day you can eat leaven again?! How preposterous! At least a child could figure this out. And that's what we all need to become again, like humble little children, hungry for God's truth, eager to please our Father and let His will be done, and commandments kept, rather than attempting to defend vain traditions (Mark 7:7).

God's Word shows that from the end of the 14th (the beginning of the 15th) until the 21st day of the first sacred month is seven days (Ex. 12:18).

The Passover lamb is killed at the end or afternoon (between the two evenings in Hebrew) of the 14th and eaten at the beginning of the 15th with unleavened bread: "For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast...with unleavened bread of sincerity and truth"(1 Cor. 7-8). Christ is our PASSOVER - not our "Lord's Supper." Jesus' last supper with His disciples offered Him the perfect opportunity to replace the traditional lamb with a bread and wine ceremony symbolic of His offered body and blood. (Even the rabbis decreed after the Temple's destruction that it was permissible to not eat a Passover lamb).

As we partake of these holy emblems, what are we remembering? Are we commemorating the night of Jesus' betrayal or are we commemorating Jesus' DEATH? We're to eat the BREAD in remembrance of Jesus' body that was sacrificed at the end of the 14th and we're to drink the WINE in remembrance of Jesus' shed blood on our behalf at the end of the 14th (1 Cor. 11:23-26). [And Jesus clearly associated His hour of trial and crucifixion with wine, not grape juice. See John 2:3-4].

We're to remember Jesus' sacrifice as our very personal Passover Lamb - the Lamb of God! Passover - with the bread and the wine substituted for the lamb - is the annual holy day, observed at meal time on the evening of the 15th, that commemorates Jesus' sacrifice.

The Passover is both a memorial and a feast (Ex. 12:14). The PASSOVER MEMORIAL is the FIRST of the seven days of unleavened bread (not eight), and the FIRST of God's seven holy days that portray His plan of salvation for all mankind.

It's important to note and get this straight with the first of God's festivals and new year: How would God's Church know when to celebrate God's holy days or even what they are if it weren't for the Jews? God has made the Jews His custodian and has committed His truths into their care, specifically the Pharisees (Matt. 23:2; Rom. 3:2-3; 9:4).

God's holy days are faithfully proclaimed from Moses' Seat each year "in their seasons" (Lev. 23:4) by His Jewish stewards who keep God's SACRED CALENDAR. How would we know which "season" is which, or which month is the "beginning of months," if God hadn't ordained the JEWS to preserve that knowledge for us? (Gen. 1:14; Ex. 12:2; Rom.3:2-3).

Thankfully, God's quite capable of ensuring that the Jews - despite themselves - will continue to fulfill this special calling (Num. 23:19; Rom.11:29). So everyone can put away their "calculators" (that only add up to confusion, everybody determining for themselves what's right and what's wrong). God's "business" has a full-time "Jewish accountant" who's solely responsible for the calendar.

Let's not attempt to interfere with God's business as He's chosen to run it. God - through His Jewish agent - has preserved the knowledge of His holy days and the correct dates to observe them for all who truly want to know and share in celebrating God's truth.

The two met for 40 minutes in the Vatican, and the Pope said he hopes to visit Israel sometime in the first half of next year. They said afterwards that they had discussed Middle East matters. "I definitely believe that a visit by the Pope can influence the peace process," Peres told reporters.

Peres is reported, in 1994, to have promised the Vatican official status in Jerusalem.

In February 2000, the Vatican and the Palestinian Authority signed an agreement calling for an internationally guaranteed special status for Jerusalem. The agreement stated that a special statute would protect "equality before the law of the three monotheistic religions [in Jerusalem], the proper identity and sacred character of the city, [and] freedom of access" to the city's holy sites.

Israel objected, saying that freedom of religion is already protected throughout the country. It also opposed the Vatican's treatment of the PA as an independent country.

Shortly afterwards, Pope John Paul II visited Israel, and - unlike one of his predecessors, Pope Paul VI, who visited in 1964 - agreed to come to Jerusalem. Pope John Paul met with the Chief Rabbis in their Jerusalem offices, and visited Yad Vashem as well. Pope Paul, on the other hand, refused to visit Jerusalem, leading then-Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Nissim to boycott his visit altogether.

During his visit in 2000, Pope John Paul II conducted a prayer service in Bethlehem, and announced that the Vatican had always recognized the Palestinians' national rights to a homeland. Rabbi Shlomo Aviner, Dean of Yeshivat Ateret Cohanim, said in response that the Pope's goal was simply to obtain a foothold in Jerusalem for the Church, and that his visit was one way the Pope hoped to reach this goal.

"If the Catholics would at least stop supporting the establishment of a Palestinian state in our land, and stop supporting the other Arab nations around us - then this could be considered a significant step," Rabbi Aviner said.

Pope John Paul II did not expressly apologize for the role played by the Church, and its silence, during the Holocaust. He said instead that the Church is "deeply saddened by the hatred, acts of persecution and displays of anti-Semitism directed against the Jews by Christians at any time and in any place... I fervently pray that our sorrow for the tragedy which the Jewish people suffered in the 20th century will lead to a new relationship between Christians and Jews. Let us build a new future in which there will be no more anti-Jewish feeling among Christians or anti-Christian feeling among Jews..."

Former Chief Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau has said that an earlier pope, Pope Pius XII, refused several requests by Chief Rabbi Isaac Herzog to meet with him before and during the Holocaust to discuss how the Church could help save Jewish lives. After the war, too, Chief Rabbi Herzog asked for the Pope's assistance in locating Jewish orphans who were cared for by Catholic families, and again, the Pope refused.

The current pope has been following in the footsteps of his predecessor John Paul in trying to improve Jewish-Catholic relations.

Unless the Israelis undergo a serious change of heart and direction, the fascist German-Jesuit EU is destined to seize Jerusalem in a brutal betrayal that will rock the world and shake the nations. All this horror will have been made possibly by treacherous political and religious leaders in Israel - from the vulture Shimon Peres to the butcher Chief Rabbi Yonah Metzger (a silly dove who looks to the Assyrian Germans for salvation).

Synagogue of Satan: Traditional Christianity!

Many "Christian Identity" groups (who taint the Israelite origins of the West) claim that most who refer to themselves today as Jews aren't really Jews but dangerous imposters.

Such misguided souls rely heavily upon two scriptures, taken out of context, to stoke their unwarranted hatred:

"And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, but thou art rich and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan." (Revelation 2:8-9 KJV)

"And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee." (Revelation 3:7-9 KJV)

Both messages were given by Messiah through the apostle John to two different Church of God congregations in what today would be modern Turkey. Unlike Jerusalem, the Jews were no major power or threat in either Gentile city.

The Sabbath-keeping Churches of God, who follow the plain truth of the Bible as taught by Herbert W. Armstrong, have always understood such scriptures about imposter Jews to refer to professing Christians who were following the false convert, Samaritan sorcerer Simon Magus:

"Simon had bewitched the people of that country, and they followed him as their leader in the Babylonian mystery religion "from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God" (Acts 8:10)...

[After being rebuked by Peter]...Simon proclaimed himself a Christian apostle, nevertheless, and called the pagan Babylonian mystery religion "Christianity." He accepted the doctrine of "grace" for the forgiveness of sin (which the pagan religions had never had), but turned grace into license to disobey God (Jude 4). He aspired to turn his pagan religion, under the name "Christianity," into a universal religion, to gain thereby the political rule of the world.

Simon, the "Pater" (Peter) of his counterfeit religion, did not accomplish this in his lifetime. But succeeding leaders, with the headquarters moved to Rome, did, later, gain political control over the Roman Empire and its medieval successor, called "The Holy Roman Empire." This empire is in process of again being resurrected in Europe now!" (Mystery of the Ages, Herbert W. Armstrong).

Spiritually speaking, all truly converted Christians are spiritual Jews. Ethnic Jews and physical Israelites who reject Messiah are spiritually Gentiles. Paul explains:

"For indeed circumcision is of value if you practice the Law; but if you are a transgressor of the Law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision. 26 So if the uncircumcised [Gentile] man keeps the requirements of the Law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision? [a spiritual Jew/Israelite] 27 And he who is physically uncircumcised, if he keeps the Law, will he not judge you who though having the letter of the Law and circumcision are a transgressor of the Law? 28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh. 29 But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God." (Romans 2:28).

When Yeshua mentioned the "synagogue of Satan," Yeshua was speaking to the Smyrna and Phildelphia Churches of God in Asia Minor. He was referring to some "synagogue of Satan" opposing them there. He was not referring to Jews as an ethnic group (whom He acknowledged as literal physical descendants of Abraham and so did Paul) or to the Jewish religious authorities in Jerusalem.

Again, spiritually speaking, anybody who professes to be a true Christian is claiming to be a spiritual Jew, as Paul spoke of such circumcision of the heart. Therefore, TRADITIONAL CHURCHIANITY CONSTITUTES THE SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN -- cleverly misleading the masses for a Gentilized Jesus, a counterfeit gospel, a different spirit and pagan holidays and ways of the Babylonian Mystery religion -- in those days and in these days! (2 Corinthians 11:4, Revelation 17:5).

Any literal, physical Israelite or Jew remains such regardless of whether they're blind to Jesus' identity at this time, as Paul made reference to his ethnic Jewish brethren and didn't reject them as such, even though admitting they were enemies of the gospel. Paul didn't once call them counterfeit Jews or synagogue of Satan or any thing like it. Instead he praised their zeal (having shared it) but said it was "not according to knowledge." However, Paul, like true Christians, knows in God's good time the blindness that afflicts ISRAEL (Anglo-Saxons and Northwestern Europeans) and JUDAH will be history.

Some persist in their error and state that the physical Jews in Israel today aren't Jews in God's sight any more since they reject the Priest-King of Israel and therefore aren't worthy to live in the Holy Land, saying God would never give it to them.

Others compound their sin against our Jewish brethren (ethnically, tribally speaking) by refusing to believe that they're even physical Jews, repeating the lie that they're all Khazar converts, exaggerating claims made by those who refuse to submit to God's Word that clearly reveals LEGITIMATE JEWS would again be living in the Promised Land of Israel, exercising sovereignty over Jerusalem, contested by the international community of fools, just before the False Prophet and Beast occupy Jerusalem.

The Bible, the inspired Word of God, calls them Jews and refers to "the cities of Judah" (not occupied "Palestinian" towns) so we should believe the Bible over men who would say otherwise, as I bring out in Jewish Homeland.

Both Israel and Judah have been blessed because of ABRAHAM'S OBEDIENCE. Our ethnic Israelite folks, mostly professing Christians, were not denied the physical inheritances God unconditionally promised Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that their heirs would inherit -- even though we're acting like Gentiles. Yes, we're Gentilized Israelites just like our pagan forefathers who rejected God's holy days for pagan holidays.

Yet God has blessed Joseph primarily, the leader of the Northern Ten Tribes, with the United States and British Commonwealth. Likewise, God has not denied Judah a homeland despite their current serious spiritual condition that -- like our Israelite countries -- is in desperate need of repentance and healing or we'll all suffer national destruction, defeat and deportation (Dan. 9:11, Malachi 4:4). God has faithfully given us the blessings He promised Abraham but now their continuance is conditional upon our obedience.

Both counterfeit Christians and jaded Jews must come to NATIONAL REPENTANCE. The Jews have rejected Jesus, blinded by their traditions, and Churchianity has rejected Jesus for their idolatrous traditions, both against the biblical traditions the Jewish apostles have shared with us (Titus 1:16, 1 John 2:4). Such blindness, in large part, was prophesied. But now that God is revealing these things, bringing it to light, exposing the darkness in traditional Judaism and Christianity, we're to confess and forsake our sins and get back to the biblical basics, back to the Faith once delivered -- so help us God -- or we'll go back into national captivity.

The good news is even if we insist upon learning the hard way, going through the "hell" of the Great Tribulation, the Time of Jacob's Trouble, Two Witnesses will see us through the long night and help us prepare to meet our God, to receive our King: Yeshua the Messiah.

"AntiChrist" to fool many "Christians"

AntiZionists are against the return of King Messiah, because King Messiah, the "Son of Man" is King of the Jews, first and foremost and King of Israel secondly. King Messiah, contrary to antiZionist, antiChrist "Christians," will restore Jerusalem to Jewish control - liberating it from the fascist EU occupation.

AntiZionists, professing Christians often, are against King Messiah because as the I AM, He prophesied the return of REAL JEWS to the real Jewish homeland that such "Christian" rebels refuse to submit to although it's clearly in the Scriptures. They'd rather nurse their irrational hatred, bogus racial claims and hysterical allegations about Khazars against Judah (God calls them Jews, we should submit Father knows best) than uphold God's Law and Prophets that foretold Judah would serve as the pioneer tribe, leading the way for the other tribes to follow. Such anti-Zionists are against GOD for opposing His Word and His Will concerning the restoration of legitimate Jews to the Jewish homeland.

Jerusalem's Fall, Division and Liberation

The diplomatic politician, statesman, turned Beast rules before King Messiah, the King of the Jews, the King of Israel, returns from Heaven. It is such a European wannabe divine emperor who will mislead professing Christians and New Agers and Eastern devotees to think he is "God" when he makes such blasphemous claims in the holy Temple, polluting it and bringing divine judgment on himself and numbering his days for trespassing, overstepping his bounds.

Jews aren't the ones who believe a man can be God. It is the synagogue of Satan, the false Christians who profess to be spiritual Jews, "Christians" who believe such things. (Yeshua is the only One who was both human and divine through His mother and His Father and will return from Heaven in full view of all mankind - not from some secret chamber, cave or other earthly place).

The legitimate Jews in Israel, in Jerusalem, will be prepared to meet our God and receive our King by the Two Witnesses, for Yeshua said He would not return to His Jewish brethren and Jerusalem until they had a change of heart: "... for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!'" (Matthew 23:39).

The Jews are back in Jerusalem, and before King Messiah returns they will have the prophesied change of heart (Zechariah 12:10-14), while too many professing "Christians" will fall for the so-called AntiChrist and fight against the return of the REAL JESUS from Heaven who will defend the Jews.

Europe needs a figurehead and symbols to rally around. Will the pope soon present them with both?

Independent commentator Charles Nevin states: What Europe needs is an inspiring figurehead and notes how Boris Johnson (journalist, columnist and Member of Parliament for Henley on Thames) in The Dream of Rome contrasts Rome's successful methods of holding their empire together with current EU attempts to build cohesion.

Johnson concludes that Europe is missing the mark: they lack awesome ideas and transcendent symbols to rally round, something to claim and embrace as uniquely European. Or, Charles Nevin suggests, someone. "And, when you're looking for an inspiring figurehead, it's easy to see the advantages of having an emperor who is also a god possessed of the power to end your life with the downward flick of a thumb and a high-pitched giggle."

Both men are in for a shock, as well as the rest of the world. Why? Because the Bible announces that the present European Union will morph into the final revival of the Roman Empire! Not only will the increasingly fascist EU turn into the beast that was and is imminent Rome, but such a revived Roman Empire will be ruled by a wannabe divine emperor!

What could bring all this together? Especially when the prophet Daniel acknowledges that the Europeans are clearly of different and often divisive mettle, lacking the right chemistry to maintain a long-lasting relationship or union:

41 Just as you saw that the feet and toes were partly of baked clay and partly of iron, so this will be a divided kingdom; yet it will have some of the strength of iron in it, even as you saw iron mixed with clay. 42 As the toes were partly iron and partly clay, so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle. 43 And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay.

Daniel was also given amazing insight, extraterrrestial knowledge, divine inspiration, to reveal that the European Union will ultimately consist of the top ten nations of Europe, a core group, a nucleus the other member states will circle like a crown of stars around the sun.

Would "miracles" do the trick? Aren't we warned to watch for a pagan sorcerer-pope to start performing many supernatural deeds, counterfeit miracles, to mislead the masses and get them eating out of his hand to support the Vatican's elect to "defend" Europe and "Western Christian Civilization" and murder any who oppose them? Won't this new Antiochus Epiphanes ("god-in-the-flesh") command his shock troops to have zero tolerance for any who expose him as a man and demand "off with their heads"? Will the Bavarian pope soon sweep Europe off their feet?

Will Europe soon rally around the cross to defeat the crescent? Will the EU cross soon drive a stake into the heart of the Middle East, responding to their jihad with a new crusade? Will Islam provide the basis for uniting Europe, circling their wagons, against the threat of Muslim nuclear terrorism? Didn't Constantine conquer in the sign of the cross? Will Europe wield the sign of the cross to drive away the evil of Islam?<

Is a world dictator about to appear? Would such a victorious individual, thrust into office by force of circumstances and papal promotion, appear as Europe's savior? However, once secure in office, will the mask come off and the BEAST appear?

Church of God minister Arlen Berkey, in "The Work of God in the Laodicean Era," makes a statement nobody in God's Church would disagree with: "The whole world will soon know about the two witnesses. They will not be welcome by this world."

We are not responsible for how the world reacts to these two men (it does NOT say ministers), however, we should question whether the two witnesses will be welcome by God's Church!

Does that sound preposterous? Presumptuous? Not if you're well-versed in holy Scripture! It was often the religious who opposed the Prophets and it was the religious leaders who stirred up the people to cry out against Jesus: "Crucify Him!" There is nothing new under the sun.

The two witnesses will be sent by God in the spirit of Elijah. The chief spokesman between the two will hail from the royal house of David and fulfills the Elijah role and will shake up the earth by his God-given MESSAGE and MIRACLES! (Zechariah 12:8).

Herbert W. Armstrong, in the spirit of Elijah, laid the foundation for such a great Work, and restored precious truths to God's CHURCH. Jesus Christ will restore God's government to the entire Earth (Acts 3:21). The interlude finds the leader of the two witnesses, in the spirit of Elijah/HWA, restoring truth to the NATION of Israel (Malachi 4:4). There is no contradiction. This is based upon the Law and the Covenant and is testifed to by the Prophets.

Some might initially resist God's choice of men to fulfill the controversial roles of the two witnesses (Jeremiah 15:10). Even Moses' met rejection by his own people God sent him to save (Acts 7:25, 35). Moses and Aaron met first with the elders of Israel before going before pharaoh (Exodus 4:29). God's Church will know the identity of the two witnesses before the world sees them take the stand in Jerusalem.

God's apostle, Herbert Armstrong, saw we must reach "the cities of Judah" and yet God didn't permit him to do it. But God will give Judah His Message, last but not least! God has been raising up someone for this very purpose (Isaiah 41:27).

Herbert Armstrong also began to see that God's Church has a divine commission to help physically prepare for Christ's coming to Jerusalem: a Mideast Commission. Read and believe it for yourself in Mr. Armstrong's autobiography and wonder why you haven't heard any of your ministers preaching about it or chomping at the bit to get it done.

Soon the the two witnesses will rise and shine in this world of darkness, and finish the Work that God has given us to do. Jesus Christ is returning in this generation! May we be found worthy to escape the nuclear blitzkrieg about to strike, and to stand before Christ when He returns to claim David's Throne in Jerusalem!

Europe conquers & divides Jerusalem

Gerald Flurry and the Philadephia Trumpet magazine (sponsored by the Philadelphia Church of God) offer an invaluable service to mankind with articles of insight and understanding based upon Bible prophecy.

I respect the Philadephia Trumpet magazine's contribution to God's Work, even though they refuse to send it to me since I am a former member of the PCG even though I've probably promoted it more than any of their evangelists. For the record, I am an e-vangelist - not a televangelist - as the vast majority of my God-given Work is on the computer, sending emails and writing articles that appear all over the world of the internet.

I give credit where credit is due, so help me God. However, everybody makes mistakes. We all have our blind spots and that's perfectly understandable. Perhaps God permits some mistakes to observe how we respond to constructive criticism, whether we're willing to grow, and to remind us to forever be diligent that what we teach is in accordance with His Word and that all truth belongs to God - not to any one man, group or organization (1 Corinthians 4:4-7), even if they think they're rich and have need of nothing (Revelation 3:17).

Are we set in our ways or do we maintain the childlike attitude, humility and willingness to change whenever necessary, as we experienced with our "first love" and initial conversion? What is inexcusable is when mistakes are clearly pointed out, beyond any shadow of a doubt, and we prefer traditional darkness rather than walk in our new light of understanding (John 3:19-21). Why remain a slave to idolatrous tradition when the plain truth can set you free?

Gerald Flurry confused Mount Hermon with Mount Carmel on several occasions, so I wrote him and kindly pointed it out. He admitted in a letter to me that he had confused the two. (That's when I was still an official member of the PCG and contact was possible, as far as they're concerned). I knew Flurry had made a mistake since I was blessed to have lived next to both mountains: I lived next to Mount Carmel when I was a volunteer at Kibbutz Ramat Yohanan, and I lived next to the snow-covered Mt. Hermon at Kibbutz Dan during Operation Desert Storm, as I mention in From Toledo to Jerusalem.

I used to cringe when I would read the Philadelphia Trumpet magazine and find references to "Palestine," knowing that such a Satan-inspired term was used by the pagan Romans to spite the Jews after defeating and dispersing them, renaming the holy land after Israel's anicent enemies, the Philistines.

"Palestine" reflects the dark mind that would erase the name of our father Israel off the map (Psalms 83:4), as the wicked Iranian leader has recently called for, and the use of "Palestine" is totally unscriptural! We ought to call the Promised Land of Israel what God in His Bible has clearly named it: Israel - not Ishmael, not Philistine. How simple. All the more when you understand how politicized the usage of "Palestine" has become, aiding and abetting the sworn enemies of our Jewish brethren when we don't refer to the Jewish homeland as Israel.

I wrote Gerald Flurry, his son Stephen Flurry and others to protest using the accursed "Palestine" rather than Israel, and it appears to have registered with them for awhile, thank God, and then they reverted to their bad habit. I haven't noticed lately whether or not they still use the wrong word for the Jewish homeland. I hope not. Regardless, it is Israel and God forbid it ever become "Palestine!"

Gerald Flurry's most recent article on Jerusalem repeats his false teaching that the "Palestinians" will conquer East Jerusalem, followed by Europe control of all Jerusalem.

Christ is not working backwards, but Flurry has got it backwards! Zechariah 14 clearly states international opposition against Jewish sovereignty over Jerusalem, leading to the European Union seizing the whole city - "THE CITY shall be taken" - and following that, undoubtedly trying to appease the Arabs, the European Union forcibly divides Jerusalem.

Other prophecies reveal that Jerusalem will suffer under the EU jackboot for 3 1/2 years. When the "time of the Gentiles" is up, King Messiah will return from Heaven (in full view of all mankind) and liberate Jerusalem and fight against our enemies. This is the BIBLICAL ORDER OF JERUSALEM'S FALL, DIVISION AND LIBERATION.

"The verse starts with Christ conquering the European and Asian powers who are gathered together for battle. Then there is a semicolon, which means all these events in verse 2 are linked and closely associated."

The verse doesn't start with the European and Asian powers gathered for "Armageddon," that comes later. It starts with international opposition to Jewish sovereignty over Jerusalem, led by fascist Europe under the evil influence of the bloody Roman Catholic Church that has its evil eye on Jerusalem.

"The first semicolon introduces the second phase of this violent time. The city shall be taken, houses rifled and women ravished. This is when the king of the north (Europe) conquers the whole city of Jerusalem (also America and Britain), shortly after he conquers the king of the south (Daniel 11:40-41)."

There are no semicolons in Hebrew. Europe will strike terror into the Muslim world with a swift victory against them, a lightning strike that will go to their head, and then Europe will brutally betray and seize all of Jerusalem, divide it, and occupy Jerusalem.

The final revival of the Roman Empire will remain stationed in the Holy Land, headquarters Jerusalem, until the King of the Jews, the King of Israel, returns to reign, deposes Europe's wannabe divine emperor (and his religious promoter) who have trespassed upon the Temple Mount and polluted the Temple. Yeshua will liberate His City, the City of the Great King, and administer world justice from the throne of King David.

"The Palestinians will take half of Jerusalem. They say even now that a Palestinian state must include East Jerusalem, which already is comprised mostly of Palestinians, and the Temple Mount. They want Jerusalem, with the Temple Mount, as their capital. If they take the Temple Mount, you could see that act quickly provoking more war. The Temple Mount is holy to three great religions: Judaism, Islam and Christianity. It is the Jews' holiest site. The Arabs consider it their second- or third-holiest site. Christians, especially Roman Catholics, put more emphasis on the whole city. (Remember the Crusades?)"

The "Palestinians" are in no position whatsoever to take anything. Everything they have the Israelis have foolishly surrendered to them. It is because the Arabs demand East Jerusalem (actually they want all of Jerusalem) that Europe will seize Jerusalem and rip Israel's heart in two, while keeping the Temple Mount (with its imminent Third Temple) for themselves.

"The Palestinians could--and, I believe, will--conquer the Temple Mount and refuse access to anybody else. "

The Temple Mount is the third most holy spot for Muslims, following Mecca and Medina, since legend has it Mohammad ascended to Heaven from that sacred site, although the Koran does not mention Jerusalem even once, although it's mentioned over 600 times in the Hebrew Bible.

Satan knows the importance of Jerusalem even if some professing Christians and Jews have forgotten it, which is why Satan has stirred up the Nazi-Muslims to covet the Temple Mount and pollute it with their foreign objects that must soon be removed - either by an Act of God (earthquake) or responsible Israeli action - restoring the Temple Mount as the Temple Mount. Appropriately, the Temple Mount Faithful and the Temple Institute are educating folks in Israel and around the world, both Jews, Israelites and Gentiles, preparing for that glorious day.

The Nazi-Muslim's already occupy the Temple Mount! They've illegally denied the religious rights of Christians and Jews since 1967. That's when Moshe Dayan (cursed in Jewish history for such a sin that stinks to High Heaven) despised God and Judaism's holiest site - the Temple Mount - and surrendered it to the shocked Muslim authorities after it had been miraculously liberated during the Six Day War.

I was unjustly deported from Israel for highlighting the plight of the Temple Mount under Nazi-Muslim occupation - in various articles read throughout Israel (and since throughout the world). The Israeli authorities shamefully look the other way daily as the Muslims flout Israeli law that supposedly guarantees "freedom of access" to religious sites.

Even though the British "ordained" Chief Rabbinate forbids those who listen to them (they have no legal authority regarding the Temple Mount) from entering the Temple Mount compound, more educated and faithful Jews know there are "permitted places" they can make holy pilgrimage to without sinning. The Temple Institute and others arrange such holy tours for those Jews who want to properly visit the Temple Mount according to halacha (Jewish law).

Why should anybody listen to the religious prostitutes of the Chief Rabbinate, paid for and in service to the state, especially when Chief Rabbi Yonah Metzger just invited the Dalai Lama to help him create a UN of religions in Jerusalem? What an invitation for disaster! What spiritual blindness or colloboration with the dark forces that are intent on wresting Jerusalem from the Jews.

Thankfully, God commands Israel to build His Santuary, a House of Prayer for All Peoples, based upon His Word and Will that will soon be fulfilled.

Israel's Ashkenazi chief rabbi, Yonah Metzger, has met with the Dalai Lama of Tibet (an alleged Buddhist god) and Israel National News reports that Metzger "suggested that representatives of the world's religions establish a United Nations in Jerusalem, representing religions instead of nations, like the UN currently based in New York.

"Instead of planning for nuclear war and buying tanks and fighter jets, it will invest in peace." Apparently a peace apart from the biblical blueprint, without proper repentance, and based upon misguided human efforts easily manipulated for political purposes.

Has the chief rabbi gone mad? Is Rabbi Metzger now a rabid meshuggah? Has God hardened his heart against Jerusalem and Israel to invite such disaster? Isn't the rabbi aware of the prophecies that warn about the world's evil eye upon Jerusalem, and how they covet the Temple Mount? What next, a rush visit by the Bavarian pope to vie for his attention seeking to gain a better position in the "New Jerusalem"?

Doesn't Yonah Metzger know he should be promoting the Third Temple, a biblical House of Prayer for All Nations interested in learning about the God of Jacob, learning Torah and repenting of idolatrous traditions - not for arriving to teach foreign ideas or bring strange ways to the Holy Land in the perverse spirit of Babylon.

Such nations must humble themselves to come up to Jerusalem to celebrate Sukkot (Festival of Tabernacles) -- not to engage in some interfaith orgy! The unacceptable alternative of the proposed religious UN, a modern Tower of Babel, must be condemned and rejected as an entirely unclean idea, a diabolical grand design, that would pollute the Holy City with the arrival of their Grand Master, a sorcerer-magician, a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Has Metzger gone over to the other side, seduced by the Babylonian Catholic Church (with its treacherous agents like David Rosen) that aims on crowing their universal king on Mt. Zion? Isn't he opening up the floodgates of hell by summoning "The World Council of Religious Leaders" to take up wicked residence in Jerusalem, to make the City of the Great King their unholy headquarters, invoking UN Resolution 181? Are they making alliances with alien organizations like United Religions Initiative that appear like light-bringers but hide a spiritual darkness that Nimrod would revel in?

This nightmare in the making brings Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion's prediction of January 16, 1962 to mind: "...With the exception of the USSR as a federated Eurasian state, all other continents will become united in a world alliance, at whose disposal will be an international police force. All armies will be abolished, and there will be no more wars. In Jerusalem, the United Nations (a truly United Nations) will build a Shrine of the Prophets to serve the federated union of all continents; this will be the seat of the Supreme Court of Mankind, to settle all controversies among the federated continents, as prophesied by Isaiah." (emphasis mine)

Isaiah didn't prophecy of any such godless scheme that is a dangerous counterfeit of the Temple of God -- not a "shrine of the prophets." How humanist, yet undoubtedly appealing as a pretty platitude and harmless plan to interfaith fools.

The prophet Daniel does expose the Third Temple will be polluted by Europe's wannabe divine emperor until King Messiah returns from Heaven (in full view of all mankind) and destroys such demonic activities, purifies Jerusalem and cleanses the Temple!

E.U. taken to task by two witnesses

The Muslim menace will soon be history after the EU rapid response to their nuclear jihad settles them into the dust of Arabia. The greater threat to world peace will be the German-Jesuit Europe that two witnesses from Jerusalem will boldly testify against in the spirit of Elijah against Ahab and Jezebel (Catholic Church and State).

"A terrible darkness has fallen upon us, but we must not surrender to it. We shall lift lamps of courage and find our way through to the morning." - a quote made in 1942 by a member of the French Resistance movement

Two Witnesses Testify Against Europe

Two controversial figures, referred to in the Book of Revelation as two witnesses, two olive trees, two candlesticks and two prophets, will boldly declare GOD'S JUDGMENTS and proclaim the LORD'S CONTROVERSY (Micah 3:8; 6:1-2), delivering a BLISTERING MESSAGE and a SCORCHING CONDEMNATION - just before NUCLEAR FIRE AND BRIMSTONE RAINS DOWN upon those who've rejected GOD'S ULTIMATUM (Isaiah 41:27; 30:27)!

The wise will hear this THUNDER and take shelter (Revelation 10; Proverbs 27:12). It's been said that history repeats itself because nobody listened the first time. Who's listening today? Does anybody care? THE MESSAGE IS LOUD AND CLEAR! Another HOLOCAUST is coming! That warning must roar from Jerusalem! That's the sensitive location where God will spark a NATIONAL DEBATE and ignite an INTERNATIONAL CONTROVERSY! (Jeremiah 15:10; Revelation 11:10).

It'll shock the Jews and anger the Germans! Both will immediately want to stop such "incitement" - calling it fear-mongering and racist - but such persecution will only fan the flames of this BURNING ISSUE (Isaiah 54:15-16)! God's going to make sure that everybody - from the least to the greatest - has had a chance to HEAR AND HEED (Jeremiah 5:4-5).

"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall" (Proverbs 16:18). The historical precedent's been set. We're not an exception or invincible (Luke 13:3). Europe's already making preparations while we're on our deathbed: victims of tradition. THE UNITED STATES IS GOING TO FOLD, THE BRITISH COMMONWEALTH'S GOING INTO CAPTIVITY, AND ISRAEL'S GOING TO BE OCCUPIED!

Prior to Europe's invasion and occupation of the State of Israel, God will have stationed two men, especially trained for this mission, in Jerusalem. They're to serve notice that Jerusalem and Israel belong to GOD! These two men are witnesses that God will again choose Jerusalem. They won't rest until Zion fulfills her calling (Isaiah 62:6-7). They can foresee the future so clearly, it's as good as done for them (Romans 4:17). Since they know for sure what's going to happen, they can give an accurate forecast!

Why are there two of them? For several reasons: God's Law requires two or three witnesses to testify before the judge can pass sentence; they're Israel's eyes, to enlighten and help them see what's going on; and THEY REPRESENT GOD'S CHURCH AND STATE.

The prophet Zechariah first mentions these two. He saw them portrayed as two olive trees, standing next to a golden menorah, one on each side. When he questioned God's angel as to what this all meant, he was told: "These are the two anointed ones, who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth" (Zechariah 4:14).

It's understood that the menorah represents Israel - who's yet to become a "light to all nations." Today Israel's national symbol is this very candlestick with its two olive branches.

Ancient Israel only had two anointed positions: Priest and King. They were anointed with olive oil, symbolic of God's Holy Spirit, before taking office (Exodus 30: 30). It was a simple gesture asking for God's merciful guidance, and a humble request for Heaven's inspiration (I Samuel 16:13).

God reveals that His men are going to be on active duty for three and a half years. Their mission coincides with Jerusalem's Gentile occupation. They'll witness the atrocities committed against our people, and fast and pray. Therefore, the formal dinners and black-tie days are gone. God's prophets will be in mourning and wearing black: burlap!

Revelation 11:4 declares: "These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth." They stand at attention before God, ready and willing to carry out His every command. They're filled with the Holy Spirit and share their LIGHT of understanding with captive Israel (Zechariah 4:12). They'll give it all they've got, emptying themselves, to try and impart God's vision and spiritual insight.

Obviously, they're testifying against Europe's crimes against humanity, because the Beast wants them dead! They warn Europe their Day of reckoning is near and they thereby encourage Israel to never fear!

The prophet Malachi assures us: "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and dreadful day of the LORD. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse" (Malachi 4:5-6).

Who in the Bible is most prominent before the return of Jesus Christ? In the Old Testament we find Elijah. In the New Testament we're introduced to the the Two Witnesses. They're both just before the awesome DAY OF THE LORD - the time when God directly intervenes with the SEVEN LAST PLAGUES!

Israel's two representatives will present their case from Jerusalem. They'll confront Europe's pope and wannabe divine emperor with the facts and hold them personally responsible for Europe's atrocities. God's two witnesses will take the stand and testify against Europe's cruel and unusual punishment inflicted upon our people. They'll charge the Beast and False Prophet with murder, treason, and extortion!

Israel's two anointed positions were priest and king. The priest tribe was Levi and the scepter tribe was Judah. Therefore, one of Israel's representatives will hail from the Royal House of David (Judah), and the other will join him as an assistant, from Aaron's line (Levi). Both will be deeply converted individuals from God's one and only true Church. They represent God's Church and State, like Moses and Aaron, against Satan's counterfeit Church and State!

"Elijah" will vigorously oppose Europe's evil empire and speak out against its corrupt system of government and religion! He'll denounce those Israelite nations in Europe who will have merged their markets with Babylon's daughter. Ahab (pagan Israelites) and Jezebel (the Catholic Church) will have to contend with Elijah again! Elijah's successor was promised a double portion of God's Holy Spirit: it'll be shared between the Two Witnesses!

Catholicism: Lesser of Two Evils?

Europe swings. Hardcore proof: the EU overwhelmingly passed a resolution last month against "Homophobia in Europe."

The liberals are dancing in the streets and the atmosphere is gay - - unless you happen to dare disagree, as Don Feder exposes in "HOMOPHOBIA," DEMOGRAPHIC DECLINE, ISLAMIC IMMIGRATION AND THE EUROPEAN DEATH WISH, stating: "Its anti-homophobia campaign is just the latest example of Europe's rejection of Judeo-Christian morality."

Europe swings from one extreme to the other. Still smarting from a history subject to the rigid rule of those under the influence of the Vatican, the Europeans have gone too far in denying the leading role that professing Christianity has played upon their stage.

The free-for-all Europeans have stubbornly refused to even acknowledge their Catholic roots with a nod within their proposed Constitution; Roots that Pope John Paul II pleaded with them to remember from Santiago and elsewhere. How can such dishonest European leaders face the daunting challenges that loom just ahead? Sound minds and strong character is required, a willingness to face harsh reality and not just powder it away with pretty platitudes.

What will strike the "fear of God" in Europe's dark and deceitful heart? What wonders can the Bavarian pope perform to have the masses eating out of his hand again? Will a nuclear Iran or belligerent Egypt (suffering a coup) crash the party and awaken the living dead or has Europe become reprobate without a conscience or a future?

Is pagan Europa capable of becoming a re-converted continent? With the double-edged sword of Islam and secularism ready to slit their throat, will the wayward EU act in time with a cool head and let logic and biblical reason prevail?

Must the European Union choose between Catholicism and hedonism? Secularism certainly couldn't save them because the ethnic Europeans would die out or be vastly outnumbered by the armies of the immigrants with their jihad of reproduction. Empty secularism could never withstand the drive and determination of the foreign bodies who would strip them of their carnal liberties. Will Europe consider Catholicism the lesser of two evils when they realize the writing is on the wall and they must choose? After all, it's a familiar face and not that of a stranger.

Mr. Feder's piercing piece concluded: "The book Europe's intelligentsia has rejected holds the key. In it, God says to Israel: 'I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live.'"

What many Northwestern Europeans fail to recognize is their Hebrew roots, their Israelite origin, and that the Book they should go by doesn't sanction Islam or Catholicism but warns against both! There is an alternative way that Herbert Armstrong, ambassador for world peace without political portfolio, presented before many of their heads of state.

If Europe misses this opportunity of a lifetime to get it right, to remember their biblical roots and responsibilities, they'll soon fall under the spell of Germany and the Jesuits and swing far right again: "...the new Europe - a rough beast slouching toward Brussels..." is about to get struck by lightning -- transformed into a bloodthirsty beast bowing before Berlin.

UN to punish "blasphemers?"

The European Observer reports Solana warns against EU-muslim cartoon rift. Doesn't the EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana recognize the rift was already there and that the riotous cartoon episodes merely exposed it?

What is more ominous is how such inexcusable behavior of militant Muslims demanding Christian Western civilization submit to their Muslim law and primitive attitudes is now being abused as a pretext to create UN texts against blasphemy!

Javier Solana met in Saudi Arabia with the leader of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu. Hypocritically, Saudi Arabia is guilty of state-sponsored terrorism as Sheik Professor Abdul Hadi Palazzi has stated many times. Yet the Muslim terrorists want to focus on the alleged speck in the eye of the West while ignoring the log in their own evil eye!

The corrupt OIC is pressuring the occultic United Nations to adopt a reference against blasphemy in the tenets of a new human rights body. Who will control such a new body and possess the dark powers to punish real or imagined offenders? Another inquisition on the way? The UN to police "blasphemers?" What beast dare they unleash with such dangerous proposals?

What next? Will the UN forge a policy to demand economic unity at the expense of personal freedom and national sovereignty? Sounds like a chilling description of a politico-religious power foretold long ago:

From reading Ryan Mauro's book, Death to America: The Unreported Battle of Iraq -- it was impressed upon my mind how mad some Muslims are driven by the jinns of jihad and insanely seek to wreak havoc and destruction upon all the world who rejects their false vision. I gladly testify that not all Muslims share their perverted passion, as is evident in noble men like Sheik Abdul Hadi Palazzi of Rome, Italy.

However, I do solemnly affirm that such spiritual sickness does not only afflict the Muslim world, but that such religious fanaticism is again to rear its ugly head in blood-soaked Europe. Europe's rapid response to jihad will be a new crusade that will slaughter both Arabs and Jews and every Christian who doesn't agree with the Roman Catholic Church!

The Prophet Daniel records some great provocation, an Islamic confederation or network of sorts that is soon to butt heads with Catholic Europe (Daniel 11:40-45), resulting in a blitzkrieg operation that will strike them dead in the Middle East, taking out countries like Egypt and subduing Libya and Ethiopia and undoubtedly overwhelming Iran.

That is good news. Europe -- not America -- will neutralize the Nazi-Muslim threat. However, the bad news is that it will bring out the beast in Europe and only whet their appetite for more blood. Europe will morph into the final revival of the unholy Roman Empire of the German Nation, and demand Jerusalem become an "international city," as called for by the accursed UN Resolution 181. The Germans and Jesuits have been the major influence behind this strategic move and have their evil eyes on the prize of Jerusalem, especially the coveted Temple Mount.

The whole world has been focusing on Islamic terrorism, as is understandable, but the greatest threat to world peace is the German-dominated European Union! The United States has foolishly been helping to create such a Frankenstein Monster that will brutally betray both the American, British and Jewish peoples. Herbert W. A former defence minister has provoked outrage and broken a major taboo by suggesting that Germany should have its own nuclear arsenal.

Rupert Scholz argued that Berlin needed to embrace the idea of a nuclear deterrent in the light of threats from terrorists and the Middle East.

"We need to ask ourselves how we could react in an appropriate manner to a nuclear threat from a terror state, and if needs be, even by using our own nuclear weapons," he said.

Mr Scholz, 68, who was the defence minister in Helmut Kohl's government in 1988 and 1989, said he doubted whether other nations' guarantees, made during the Cold War, to keep Germany safe in the face of a nuclear threat, could still be trusted.

"Without the appropriate guarantees of protection by our partners, the question of our own nuclear deterrent needs to be discussed openly," he said.

"I am aware that I am addressing a taboo. But in the light of the dangers that weapons of mass destruction could end up in the hands of terrorists, this is a question which deserves serious debate."

Germany agreed not to develop nuclear weapons after the Second World War in return for protection from the United States and Nato.

Mr Scholz's comments came under attack yesterday.

The security spokesman for the opposition Free Democrats, Rainer Stinner, accused him of "throwing oil on the fire" of the tension between Iran and the West.

Rainer Arnold, the defence spokesman for the Social Democrats, part of the governing coalition, said Mr Scholz's remarks would not be taken seriously.

Isn't it time we examined why we encourage our children to celebrate St. Valentine's Day - when it is never mentioned in the Bible as a practice of the New Testament Church?

Let's stop teaching our children these pagan customs in memory of Baal the sun god - the original St. Valentine - and teach them instead what the Bible really says!

Teachers are all too often silent about the origin of the customs they are forced to teach in today's schools! If they were to speak out, many would lose their jobs!

Isn't it time we examined why we encourage our children to celebrate St. Valentine's Day - when it is never mentioned in the Bible as a practice of the New Testament Church?

Today, candymakers unload tons of heart-shaped red boxes for February 14, while millions of the younger set are annually exchanging valentines. Florists consider February 14 - St. Valentine's Day - as one of their best business days. And young lovers pair off - at least for a dance or two - at St. Valentine's balls.

Why? Where did these customs originate? Where do we find any such practices in the Bible?

How did we come to inherit these customs?

A Christian Custom?

Did you know that centuries before Christ, the pagan Romans celebrated February 15 and the evening of February 14 as an idolatrous and sensuous festival in honor of Lupercus, the "hunter of wolves"?

The Romans called the festival the "Lupercalia." The custom of exchanging valentines and all the other traditions in honor of Lupercus - the deified hero-hunter of Rome- was also linked anciently with the pagan practice of teen-agers "going steady." It usually led to fornication. Today, the custom of "going steady" is thought very modern. It isn't. It is merely a rebirth of an old custom "handed down from the Roman festival of the Lupercalia, celebrated in the month of February, when names of young women were put into a box and drawn out by men as chance directed." That's the admission of the Encyclopedia Americana, article, "St. Valentine's Day."

When Constantine made "Christianity" the official religion of the Roman Empire there was some talk in church circles of discarding this pagan free-for-all. But the Roman citizens wouldn't hear of it! So it was agreed that the holiday would continue as it was, except for the more grossly sensual observances.

It was not until the reign of Pope Gelasius that the holiday became a "Christian" custom. "As far back as 496, Pope Gelasius changed Lupercalia on February 15 to St. Valentine's Day on February 14." (p. 172 of Customs and Holidays Around the World by Lavinia Dobler).

But how did this pagan festival acquire the name of "St. Valentine's Day"? And why is the little naked Cupid of the pagan Roman so often associated today with February 14? And why do little children and young people still cut out hearts and send them on a day in honor of Lupercus the hunter of wolves? Why have we supposed these pagan customs in honor of a false god are Christians?

Who Was the Original "St. Valentine"?

Valentine was a common Roman name. Roman parents often gave the name of their children in honor of the famous man who was first called Valentine in antiquity. That famous man was Lupercus, the hunter. But who was Lupercus? - and why should he have also borne the name Valentine among the heathen Romans?

The Greeks called Lupercus by the name of "Pan". The Semites called Pan "Baul," according to the Classical Dictionaries. Baal - mentioned so often in the Bible - was merely another name for Nimrod, "the mighty hunter" (Genesis 10:9) It was a common proverb of ancient time that Nimrod was "the MIGHTY hunter before the Lord." Nimrod was their hero - their strong man - their VALENTINE!

How plain that the original Valentine was Nimrod, the mighty hunter of wolves. Yet another of Nimrod's names was "Sanctuc" or "Santa", meaning "Saint'. It was a common title of any hero-god. No wonder that the Roman Lupercalia is called "St. Valentine's Day"!

But why do we associate HEARTS on a day in honor of Nimrod - the Baal of the Phoenicians and Semites?

The surprising answer is that the pagan Romans acquired the symbol of the heart from the Babylonians. In the Babylonian tongue the word for heart was "bal" (see Young's or Strong's Concordance). The heart - bal - was merely a symbol of Nimrod - the Baal! or Lord of the Babylonians!

Executed at Rome

Nimrod - the original St. Valentine - was also known as Saturn, the Roman-Babylonian god who hid from his pursuers in a secret place. The Latin word Saturn is derived from the Semitic speaking Babylonians. It means "be hid," "hide self," "secret," "conceal." The original Semitic (Hebrew) word, from which the Latin Saturn is derived, is used 83 times in the Old Testament (see Young's Concordance under "Sathar," also "sether").

According to ancient tradition, Saturn (Nimrod) fled from his pursuers to Italy. The Apenine mountains of Italy were anciently named the mountains of Nembrod or Nimrod. Nimrod briefly hid out at the site where Rome was later built. The ancient name of Rome, before it was rebuilt in 753 B.C., was Saturnia - the site of Saturn's (Nimrod's) hiding. There he was found and slain for his crimes. Later, professing Christians in Constantine's day made Nimrod - the St. Valentine of the heathen- a Saint of the Church and continued to honor him under the name of a Christian martyr.

Why February 14?

But why should the Romans have chosen February 15 and the evening of February 14 to honor Lupercus - the Nimrod of the Bible? (Remember that day in ancient times began at sunset the evening before.)

Nimrod - Baal or sun god of the ancient pagans - was said to have been born at the winter solstice. In ancient time the solstice occurred on January 6 and his birthday therefore was celebrated on December 25 and now called Christmas. It was the custom of antiquity for, the mother of a male child to present herself for purification on the fortieth day after January 6 - Nimrod's original birthdate - takes us to February 15, the celebration of which began on the evening of February 14 - the Lupercalia or St. Valentine's Day.

On this day in February, Semiramis, the mother of Nimrod, was said to have been purified and to have appeared for the first time in public with her son as the original "mother and child."

The Roman month February, in fact, derives its name from the februa which the Roman priests used in the rites celebrated on St. Valentine's Day. The febru were thongs from the skins of sacrificial animals used in rites of purification on the evening of February 14.

Cupid Makes His Appearance

Another name for the child Nimrod was "Cupid" - meaning "desire" (Encyclopedia Britannica, art., "Cupid"). It is said that when Nimrod's mother saw him, she lusted after him - she desired him. Nimrod became her Cupid - her desired one - and later her Valentine! So evil was Nimrod's mother that it is said she married her own son! Inscribed on the monuments of ancient Egypt are inscriptions that Nimrod (the Egyptians called him Osiris) was "the husband of his mother."

As Nimrod grew up, he became the child-hero of many women who desired him. He was their Cupid! In the Book of Daniel he is called the "desire of women" (Dan. 11:37). Moffatt translates the word as Tammuz - a babylonian name of Nimrod. He provoked so many women to jealousy that an idol of him was often called the "image of jealousy" (Ezekiel 8:5). Nimrod, the hunter, was also their Valentine - their strong or mighty her! No wonder the pagans commemorated their hero-hunter Nimrod, or Baal, by sending heartshaped love tokens to one another on the evening of February 14 as a symbol of him.

Nimrod, the mulatto son of Cush the Ethiopian, was later a source of embarrassment to the pagans of Europe. They didn't want an African to worship. Consequently, they substituted a supposed son of Nimrod, a white child name Horus, born after the death of Nimrod. This white child then became a "fair Cupid" of European tradition.

It is about time we examined these foolish customs of the pagans now falsely labeled Christian. It is time we quit this Roman and Babylonian foolishness - this idolatry - and get back to the faith of Christ delivered once for all time.

Let's stop teaching our children these pagan customs in memory of Baal the sun god - the original St. Valentine - and teach them instead what the Bible really says!

Let me point out, although David Ben Ariel may not hold exactly the same opinions that we personally hold, we believe his aptitude and insight has always been unique and worthy of examining in detail. His rectitude has always been admirable and his concern for Israel unquestioned.

First of all, David, this is an excellent piece. We don't track on everything, but on keeping a close eye on Germany, we most assuredly do.

So, I have a question for you. Have you seen any machinations behind Chancellor Merkel? Evidences of the Social Christian party of Bayern in action?

I've noticed that looking behind the conventional and comfortable sources of data, news and ideas is very difficult for you, to put it politely. It is for most people. But survival in the future will depend on being able to look beyond what is your comfortable source of news, data and ideas.

A future that you do not understand at all is rushing at you with gathering speed. The riots in Damesek, the burning of two Danish embassies are just small signs of this.

While I am not a Christian and do not agree with everything that David ben Ariel's church believes in, the Philadelphia Trumpet has had a habit of calling events before they've occurred. That is something worth paying attention to.

Occasionally, I would listen to some of the Christian preachers on TV while I lived in the States. Curiosity would draw me there. The majority were just hucksters with only garbage on their tongues. Herbert Armstrong stood out as one man making sense, a diamond amongst a pile of coal. He actually provided analyses, where the other preachers provided nothing but thin air.

Again, I point out that I am no Christian and never will be. But David is worth paying careful attention to.

Eventually I understood why. And I am sorry to say he not longer could reconsider his refusal.
Miss Rice declared not long ago in fact days ago the "we did not have a pulse"... She was wrong in more than way.
One has to have a soul and heart and brain in good working order to pick up THE PULSE.
This book leads the reader to, even if not Christian such as I am, understand the deep roots of the critical situations we confront. And to THE PULSE...

For over 50 years, Herbert W. Armstrong warned that a German-led European combine would thresh the nations. When Germany lay in ashes after WWII, Mr. Armstrong had no doubt Germany would be back with a vengeance and he pounded this theme home through the pages of The Plain Truth magazine read by millions worldwide.

Are We Wrong About Europe? by Ryan Malone of The Philadelphia Trumpet magazine, reveals how they continue in Armstrong's tradition.

Konrad Adenauer said the West was "taking a calculated risk" when they started rebuilding Germany after the Holocaust. Before that President Roosevelt and Prime Minister Churchill agreed: "It is our inflexible purpose to destroy German militarism and Nazism and to ensure Germany will never again be able to disturb the peace of the world."

Nevertheless, Helmut Schmidt reported Germany was again putting on "imperial airs," and author Bernard Conally wrote that France was struggling to "hold the old demons of Germany's character in check." Margaret Thatcher warned her deaf audience that "Germany is very powerful now - her national character is to dominate." Are they all just crying wolf? Or is the German beast about to devour again?

Robert Locke is opposed to the increasingly fascist Europe (but doesn't believe Germany dominates it) stated: "I can't agree with you about Germany. It is a castrated PC marshmallow of a country, not a lion preparing to rule the world."

Consider Luigi Barzini's reference to "The mutable Germans" in The Europeans where he questions: "Which is the shape of the German Proteus this morning? Which will be its shape tomorrow? Johannes Gross thinks his countrymen wear a mask. 'But the day may come when someone lifts the mask," he wrote. "The face that appears may be less full-cheeked and rosy than today's... So long as we wear the mask, we remain hidden and continue to conceal the situation from ourselves.'"

Ron Fraser (Is a World Dictator About to Appear?) exposes: "Although Germany is the prime mover in all these [European unification] efforts, in order to dispel any idea that the country may have expansionist intentions, these initiatives have generally been made under the cloak of being for the common good of the European Union."

This sentiment concurs with Bismarck, who wrote in his diary (Nov. 1876): "I have always heard politicians use the word "Europe" when they were making requests to other powers which they did not dare formulate in the name of their own country."

What is Germany hiding? Nuclear weapons? Who would be so foolish to imagine Germany without their own nuclear weapons when they were ahead of us in developing them? Certainly the grand design Franz Josef Strauss had in mind (with much at his disposal as Federal Minister of Nuclear Energy, and later Defense Minister) demanded independence from the United States. And Germany's Dolphin submarines delivered to Israel, equipped to handle nuclear weapons, underscore German military capabilities, yet the United States continues to blindly promote their control of the European continent, oblivious to The Dangers in US-German European Policy.

How many German plants in America are serving the interests of Germany's budding Fourth Reich? It's not only German factories and German businesses in America proving "that basic thoroughness of the orderly German" (Johannes Gross), since the secret Nazis had predetermined such a strategy, but bought and paid for American prostitutes in diverse and perverse positions of power aid and abet them! They expose our country to danger and will leave us infected as a nuclear wasteland!

What is Germany hiding behind the mask? Even if skeptics dismiss the mystic relationship between Germany and the Vatican (both forging Europe into their image believing "the German spirit will heal the world" -Emanuel Geibel), and doubt the Bavarian pope is soon going to promote a particular strong man and platform to save Europe and the world from the threat of Islam, shouldn't those responsible for our national security seriously consider the scenario of a United States of Europe betraying us? Shouldn't the intelligence experts consider that possibility and prepare for it? Why suffer the element of surprise that Germany is infamous for?
